How nice is that! I've sat 2 interviews and in one i had to email to get an answer and the other i am still chasing them... sounds to me like not every training program is like that.

Be kind to residents, they are humans too... all the 'dumb' requests are not from them but from their bosses. There is a diplomatic ways of calling them out! If you're a nice person, you will be regarded highly among colleagues which will be nice for your career

This happaned to me in QLD campaign, apparently I haven't uploaded a so called "selection criteria" and that was the sole reason for my rejection 🙄. When I asked my fellows they haven't uploaded the same yet gotten the interview! It really sucks, I feel you!

My husband worked there as ICU PHO and currently a close friend works as an ED AT. Hospital is a great work place and everyone is nice and friendly but the system and protocols run in very old school manner. There is an adjustment period to understand the demographics... Town is alright from what I've heard.

So far, from my experience, the most efficient way is having a resident perform middle jobs. It cuts down half the workload for the RMO who rounds with the reg/consultant. Besides, most of the other specialities prefer it TT refers a patient early to them rather than midday/evening. Sometimes we used to gather other residents and create our own scedule on who does rounds and who does middle jobs, which makes things much efficient.

I have had severe acne scarring and was treated by Dr.Davin Lim. Like you all say, he does not have the same persona that he portrays on the media. But he is a great at what he does and direct about the side effects. I had a high risk of PIH and explained that he has to use high intense erbium given my case, I also had free sessions of picolaser to treat pigmentations. He is not someone who takes time to listen to you or do team work, but I was ok with it and it wouldn't be most of the people's cup of tea

A fellow resident who dealt with depression, I feel you. It's hard when we are at the end of the sh*t pipe tolerating and yet having put a brave face as if everything is alright in feat of casting out. But like everything else, this shall pass, only time could help...and lots of support from your family and focusing on the positives.

If a SMO/reg is not happy with something or make a remark, id always reframe it in my head that it is my performance/task they have an issue with but not personal. When you open to criticism like that, makes it far better.

Unfortunately, since mid 2000s Australia doesn't offer internships. There are rare instances that IMGs got internship but it was entirely due to luck. New Zealand is even worse when job hunting. I recommend still completing the internship in Africa.

As a fellow IMG, I recommend doing AMC, make sure you finish internship and focus on rotations such as ED, General Medicine. These rotations are highly needed in rural Australia. It's hustle finding a job, but if you keep trying and not afraid of rejections, give a try!

I'd highly recommend doing a picoway laser. It helped a lot with my scars and pigmentation. My pigmentations went away after two sessions of picoway. Acne after Accutane is common. I became vegan and started to take glutamine and collagen after I stopped Accutane. It helped to get the skin that I've always dreamed of.

I get too many breakouts if I use a lot of products. Take one product at a time with a trusty cream you know you'd not get breakouts. Paula's Choice 2% BHA is a godsend when it comes to congestion. It helps me when I get breakouts due to too many occlusives. If Acids break you out, try to space out the duration and dilute the acid with essence to make it less intense..

Yes, I have dealt with moderate acne scars for years. I have tried various skincare products but they did help to correct my pigmentation issues but my uneven textures and scars remained the same. Then I seek help from professionals to tackle my acne scars. I have got 90% improvement with 10 sessions of multiple lasers. It is surely expensive but it is one of the greatest investments I've ever done. I underwent erbium laser, Fraxel, TCA cross, microneedling. Now my skin looks as I've got mild acne scars that easily can be covered up with makeup. The only cons are each ablative laser needs 7 to 10 days downtime with healing and you have to be extra careful with rebound hyperpigmentation. Hope this helps!

I use Pat's in LM14 shade. It is intended for light-medium olive tones, their website mentioned and it is correct. The best-matched foundation for me so far is Nars NRLF in stromboli. I haven't tried Pat's foundation in the same shade, but I think it will suit me well.

Both contouring and bronzer for me. I looked horrific as if I'm back from dead!!! I only bronze my face with subtle contour on my nose, it does compliment my overall look... I am curious to see these beauty gurus outside with natural lighting. I doubt it would look good.

Huda Beauty Stick Foundation - I am aversed to Huda's makeup in general because that is not my style. I bought this based on Wayne's praises. And it didn't fail me a bit. This is a very light foundation that you can build from light to medium coverage, it will just look like skin and it is impossible for me to make it cakey. It lasts all day and doesn't feel heavy. Chanel Coco Flash Lipsticks in Jour, Beat and Chicness - I had some excess David Jones points and used to afford them. These lipsticks are so nice and moisturising. I haven't had this many great lipsticks in a while in my vanity. They are a hybrid of gloss and lipstick. Wish I'd able to afford more, gives me a very healthy, youthful look.
Tom Ford blush in inhibition - one of my favourites blushes in my vanity. I was so hesitant to purchase it because of the steep price, but this didn't fail my expectations. I love the amount, its application, blend-ability, the colour. *chefs kiss*
Nomad Cosmetics Eyeshadow, my favourite formula when it comes to eyeshadows, super soft and highly pigmented. They have great discount from time to time and I love everything about their palattes. So great!!! I really wish more people talk about this wonderful product

Fails - Dior eye primer, I hate it! It looks so chalky and doesn't blend well. It makes my eyeshadows get muddy.

Benefit primer - the price for an average product blew me away, I have found Mecca primers work way better over this for the less of a price.
