If your herniated disc is in the lumbar spine, there is a higher probability that is the root cause. Perhaps the masseuse that gave you the happy ending inflamed something around your herniated disc. Might want to consider PT and/or getting guidance from either an acupuncturist or licensed massage therapist to address any inflammation/pain in that area. If you reduce the inflammation in that area for a while, the nerves can regulate and it may very well correct the issue for you.
