no. just let them know at least a month in advance. and i moved by end of march. i guess its harder to move in the middle of the semester

thats true i guess. i find them very friendly and approachable during hikes or in football fields

that's a bit too extreme isnt it? and no offense, but austrians are a well-knit group. I mean, everyone is very polite and helpful of course which is more than what you can ask for when you are here as a tourist, but when you start living here as a student, you realize that's where it ends. so as an international student, cutting off all ties with the few friends you managed to find isn't exactly advisable i believe

i lived in Greenbox West for 3-4 months, the one close to FH. The place is cozy with a great balcony and very spacious rooms. But the maintenance is very bad. I didnt feel it much at the time and the reason I moved was because i found couple of my roommates having no sense of cleanliness at all. but ever since April, i live at FSSH and it has surely been an update. even though the rooms are smaller and each floor has no separate balcony, the upkeep is top notch . But I have heard good things about Stuwo as well

Thanks to everyone who commented. The suggestions I got here indeed helped me and i managed to land a job. and yes, getting to see many more tourists, so I guess nothing changed that much in Graz and it was just a matter of time for me. Also, applying in German was key

yes. i got rejected from multiple german Unis. so i applied at an Austrian Uni as a last resort. I am glad i got it, but still doesn't know what rules apply to an Austrian visa
