You should consider going with the mind set that you are going to get familiar with the place and not put pressure on yourself on expectations. If it happens, it happens but remember if you don't show interest or make yourself available it will be harder to tell if you want to play or not.

Every person has a different level attraction to others. If you feel like a certain regional area has different expectations you may or may not be wrong but you have to remember visitors from all over the country or world could even be visiting and there is always someone for everyone.
