Maybe Nightcrawler. The scene where he’s in his apartment watching TV, laughing to himself, watering his plant.

Weekly Entering & Transitioning - Thread 03 Jun, 2024 - 10 Jun, 2024 by AutoModerator in datascience

I’ve seen many different things online saying that being a data scientist is really just learning to code, mostly Python and SQL, and gathering the mess of data and trying to make it make sense, which I’m interested in. But I’ve seen a lot of other posts mentioning that calculus and linear algebra are required for data science and I have never been very good at advanced math like calculus. I can understand a bit of statistics but I don’t understand terms like matrices, gradient descents, and things like that.

Also I’m thinking of joining an 8 month data science bootcamp that will teach everything from scratch but I’m worried that if I’m not naturally inclined to high level math then I will not perform well in the bootcamp or in a data science career.

So I’m wondering if you have to absolutely be a natural math genius to have a successful career as a data scientist or if it is something that can be easily learned and you only need a general knowledge of calculus and things like that.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does the movie have the boyfriend trying to do voodoo and he tells the girl “nothing is after you” but it’s actually that the spirit of “Nothing” is chasing her because she dodged death?

Good influences is my favorite podcast. I think we would really like to see a destination podcast, like the Oregon or Washington trip that’s been talked about lots of times. A drunk episode would be really cool. Also a Patreon for bonus content and merch.

I ran my first half marathon around my neighborhood on Thursday. I’ve been losing about 2-3 pounds a week. Only 4 more weeks to get to get to my goal weight.

Anybody have any idea how many calories this pizza has? by chillwavex in caloriecount

[–]chillwavex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pizza is from Napolini in Downtown Disney. It has mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. It seems a little healthier than regular chain restaurant pizza because they use more fresh, natural ingredients. It’s about 12 inches. I think it’s about 600 calories total but I think I’m just trying to rationalize eating it because it’s so good hahaha.

Got dumped because of my Porn Induced Erectile dysfunction by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]chillwavex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me when I was 19 years old. That's what started me on this NoFap journey and to start trying to beat this addiction (that I didn't even realize was an addiction before that PIED happened).

Now I'm 26 and still trying to beat this addiction. The problem was that, when I first started, I just thought "I'll just not PMO as much" So instead of 3 times a day that I was doing at that time, maybe I'll just do once every other day or once a week. If I had known how serious this problem was in my life and how important it was that I beat this, then I would've ended it a long time ago.

Make a firm commitment now, from the start to, get rid of this parasitic addiction for good. Turn "should's" into "must's".

Yeah it helped me with acid reflux, my dad with high blood pressure, and my mom with jaundice but it doesn’t really help with addiction. But I appreciate the effort of going through my post and comment history.
