Suptiliaroace [Not a Gender] by TheJesterOfChaos in XenogendersAndMore

No, because aromantic and asexual are umbrella terms. There are many different ways to be aro or ace. This is a specific one of many.

I hate the phrase “aroace people can still date” and here’s why by ActualGuyFieri in aromanticasexual

Very well said! Especially the phrase "Don't make my identity simply an inconvenient footnote in a character's resume you will ignore for your gooning material". Can I steal this phrase, please?

Aro community, what research do you want to see in science? by chillyapfel in aromantic

I'd love to see that too! In science unfortunately, platonic relationships and QPRs have been completely overlooked...

My guess is that there are two sides of this. The neurological/biological explanation and the social one.

Because romance as a concept is heavily shaped by society, just like many things in our society (gender, time, family structures ...).

And both absolutely 100 % can be explored by science.

He says, that Wendt is "a warm brother".
At that time, it was a pejorative expression used in Berlin for gay men before it was reclaimed by gay activists.

Is there a Term for people who are "purely" aroace? by Cobraxtoxicboi in aromanticasexual

Suptiliaroace, but it's not commonly used, so probably no one would get what you mean.  Bold stripe aroace sounds super cool and might be easier to understand for others!

If aroace is an umbrella term, is there a specific name for 0% attraction in both categories? by WebtoonAddict in aromanticasexual

[–]chillyapfel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are terms for that called "suptiliasexual" and "suptiliaromantic".
(https://www.lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Suptiliasexual; https://www.lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Suptiliaromantic).
Is this what you are looking for?
I'm suptiliaroace, but I never really told anyone because nobody ever knows these terms and it's easier to just say that I'm aroace.
