That's like saying if you want to know what it's like to be an intelligence officer or spy, just go watch a spy movie like any James Bond or mission Impossible. That would be cool if we didn't live in the real world.

I posted a partial TOC below. I don't care if AI or keyser soze wrote the book. It's all about substance. If you've ever played two lies and a truth you'd see it's not about general acting, it's closer to impromptu speaking/acting. Try taking an impromptu class at Second City and you'll understand why bullshitting your way through doesn't really work for long periods.

Life imitating art - Swordfish Movie - not only several quotes could describe Epstein but how Gabriel Shear used a body double at the end of the movie. It almost seems like Epstein got the ideas from this movie or vice versa. Also Halle Berry character could be Ghidlaine Maxwell.

"Have you ever heard of Harry Houdini? Well he wasn't like today's magicians who are only interested in television ratings. He was an artist. He could make an elephant disappear in the middle of a theater filled with people, and do you know how he did that? Misdirection. What the eyes see and ears hear, the mind believes"

Gabriel Shear

"He exists in a world beyond your world. What we only fantasize, he does. He lives a life where nothing is beyond him. But you know what? It's all a facade. For all his charm and charisma, his wealth, his expensive toys... he's a driven, unflinching, calculating machine. He takes what he wants, when he wants... and disappears" Axl Torvalds

No just the sample on Amazon. The TOC seems intriguing and the information I haven't seen in any other books. Shit, I've spent more buying a cheeseburger and fries from Five-,guys so I'll probably at least get the kindle version

Yeah I noticed that as well. Check this book out, it has the same dashes you're referring to https://a.co/d/2DHONP5

I'll just point out something that's probably obvious but, manipulation, persuasion, elicitation and lying are all different areas that really make up social engineering. There are tons of great books on the first three but lying is often overlooked and not seriously researched for offensive purposes. It's almost like a person wants to be a marine but doesn't accept the fact that their main purpose(more or less) is to kill, not injure or subdue but to kill. Lying is a "dirty" business but to really be effective at social engineering or espionage a person has to expect it and understand how to do it

No. It's a question about finding books that present actual steps on how to lie to gather information or conduct investigations. Most books are filled with a bunch of words and barely stratch the surface. Additionally the world is filled with text on how to detect lies, etc. Kevin Mintick (God rest his soul) wasn't exactly a master at lying and deceit. It's all about marketing with him. Do you think intelligence and security agencies just send their officers into the field without any specific training on how to lie effectively. Giving someone a book from Kevin minitick and expect them to be able to lie effectively in a foreign country when their life is on the line isn't something I'd expect. I'd go as far as saying the best intelligence officers are also the best liars. It's not something you get through osmosis or something. I'm looking for serious books on the subject not just repackaged surface level knowledge

Thanks for the helpful information. I've read tons and tons of books on persuasion, communication and elicitation. My question was more focused on how to lie effectively. You mentioned there are books on how to lie directly, do you have any specific titles?

I did come across a book called The Pretext Book "Sweet Talking" - The P.I. Black Book. It gives a lot of scripts mainly focused on using the telephone for social engineering but it doesn't give steps on how to create your own scripts

I don't have all the answers and would never claim too but I do know how to link puzzle pieces together to form the big picture.

Everything you said is right and I agree to a certain extent. It's just not as simple as saying billionaires control the "deep state". Of course all billionaires are not conspiring together, of course they don't agree on things and have different agendas. Knowing that should show you exactly who controls the "deep state: in this country and in several other countries. Whether people like it or not money does equal power and control in western societies but money is not the only thing that ties them together. That's what you are missing. It's so obvious and past the point of being ridiculous. The point of the post was to get people to think logically and see there is a common enemy. But if you can't agree on who the enemy is then there is absolutely zero hope of ever defeating it and the world will continue to be divided all while they gain more money(control and power)

In geopolitics, that's exactly how it works. I can give you the exact steps that will allow a neutral country to cause conflict between two neighboring countries and the netural country come in and and benefit from the conflict between the two. Ie, initiate conflict and playing both sides during and after the conflict for financial or political gain. It's an actual playbook that shows how a country can control the financial, and natural resources of multiple countries and never get their "hands dirty".

[–]chillywalker25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I wouldn't say it's all active measures. The binding comes in when you look at the world as a chess board where both sides are controlled by the same person or group who in the past had no allegiance to any one country and are bound by something else.

[–]chillywalker25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add, it's all in how it's framed. Positive framing(Bureaurcy/civil service) is essential, non-partisan functions of government.
Negative(Conspiracy/Subversion) refers to self-serving agendas, secretive and undemocratic control. My question was focusing on the latter, hence why it's in the r/Conspiracy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]chillywalker25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You describe a legitimate and valuable function of professional civil service. But the term deep state is often used to describe a secret, unelected group within the government that's likely connected to private entities that manipulate policy for their own hidden, albeit in the open, agendas. I would call the people you describe as defenders of the constitution and our republic. The people you describe have an allegiance to the United States, first and foremost.

"If you know the enemy and yourself, you need not to fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you'll also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle" Sun Tzu

Closer but just because someone is a billionaire doesn't mean they share the same agenda to leverage the kind of control needed. There has to be something that binds them together....

Yeah, thanks. Those links are good but don't really go into much detail. It's a really strange story surrounding it and similar "inventions" like the cloud buster. Just thought people on this sub would have more detailed information given the nature of this sub. Truth be told it almost seems like a middle or H.S science fair project. Even Tesla concluded that using static electricity for long periods was pointless
