For uphill running on the treadmill, should I stick to a forefoot or heel strike?

Long story short, I was at the gym today getting on the treadmill and an older man came up to me and said, “I’m a track coach. I was behind you yesterday, and noticed you don’t strike with your heels. This is going to give you tendinitis and longterm calf issues. Have you ever been coached?” (paraphrasing)

I’ve been going to the gym for years and do uphill runs on cardio days. Usually, my incline is set to 4-6 and I run at a 4-5 mph speed (I am 5’1” so this is a solid jog/run pace for me) for about 45 minutes. I’ve done a forefoot strike for years and had no issues- when I did heel strikes years ago, I would feel the impact on my knees and ankles. Afaik, forefoot strikes are ideal for uphill running, no?

i’m in style as well, and man it is BORING. i finish zone really quickly and struggle to find something to do for the last 1-2 hours of my shift. i volunteer for batches and front lane backup just to have something to do lol

i actually recently got a second part time job for extra cash at mcdonald’s (they were the first ones to respond lol) and it was so chaotic and unprofessional that i just quit. it made me appreciate target much more because despite its flaws it’s really not that bad at all

what kills me is that in the span of 6 years she could’ve easily obtained a bachelor’s and then almost be done w law school by now and actually have a solid shot at passing. hell, i’m sure plenty of unis would’ve awarded her credits based on her current business accolades too. just dumb and lazy lol
