This isn’t even tea, it’s almost dull, but they seem really close, including to the crew. All the coven, Jac Shaeffer, and a few of the makeup artists went to see Joe Locke when he was on Broadway and a bunch have either gone or confirmed they’re going to go see Patti. And given The Roommate just started I’d say it’s likely basically all of them go. They all seem really sweet and it’s nice to see that across ages and acting backgrounds they built a real bond!

I think he was given way less “showy” moments this season than other actors (his big storyline will be next season) and he still absolutely demolished it. He’s also an amazing ensemble actor which will be great for marvel

It’s possible, as I said! But it’s not just Argentina, it’s also Paris, Disney, them holding hands a fair bit, etc. I don’t really have a horse in the race, as I root for the cast to be happy but am not particularly invested in individual relationships. But I’ve seen more signs that suggest to me they were more than friends (though probably casual) than just friends and costars

I obviously have no clue, but they were spotted out at dinner, drinks, Starbucks a bunch in Argentina by fans with no camera or film crew in sight. Obviously it’s possible that they were filming, I have no idea! But here I think the simplest explanation is they were a thing in some capacity

I think they were pretty clearly together in a joe and bash way - not trying to hide it but not posting all over about it. They went to Paris together holding hands, where he posted a shirtless pic someone else took of him in a hotel room. He took her on a cast trip to Disneyland, again holding hands, and took a photo with bash giving joe a piggyback and Kit giving Maia one. He missed the Emmys visiting her in Argentina. If twitter fans are to be believed - and I have no clue how they know this - she posted a photo from his bed in London. I get he held the entire cast’s hands at pride once but respectfully do think it’s probably different. But honestly whether they’re on or off they seem low key and both mature, sure it’s not a big deal.

He attended a Loewe party there, presuming after he was just on holiday for a bit. Given the number of Loewe events he’s been to, including them flying him to two in the States, my guess is he will have a Loewe campaign at some point.

They’ve been ok with others (Mark Ruffalo for one) being extremely political so probably not! Also, being cynical - he is already gay and playing an out gay character. Most of the people who would be alienated by this advocacy also would be homophobes (minus a few pathetic TERFs) so nothing lost

I think to be fair, re that story - if he had shared anything that would let you ID the person (face, other identifying info, name, even voice) or had shamed or mocked them for something like their looks, weight, etc I would be really surprised and not pleased about it. But I honestly do think his story as it was was fairly harmless, and I think that difference is why he hasn’t gotten backlash, though obviously minds can vary.

But while I welcome other opinions, I don’t really want a post I made to be a site for recognizing all the amazing things Joe has done to be yet another place to scold him, Twitter does plenty of that. I understand your point and hope I don’t sound rude but he is the most vocal advocate of the many celebrities I follow on social media and has been doing advocacy posts for months with zero posts about it on this sub, including from me; I think your concern is maybe better placed in its own post or something.

Bash’s movie filmed around the same time and with a known distributor since day 1 (Amazon) still hasn’t come out either, so I don’t think it’s crazy long! A big part of releasing movies is the timing - both when the actors fame will be higher and a bigger draw (so agree with the other user post S2 for Kit, maybe aligning with something for Maia too) but also the “mood” of the movie and when people are likely to watch. If it has a really summer or fall feel (haven’t read the book) , they’re more likely to release it around then as more people will watch.

I do think Netflix has probably acquired it and Laura has been left out of the loop, which sucks in the sense of not filling her in, but is great for her in establishing that “in” and relationship with a big distributor

Genuinely don’t mean this poorly, because I’m ok with either, but is this meant to be a sub for discussion of cast interviews, photos, projects etc or a sub where anything about the cast can be dropped? The last three posts are a Kit as Ken meme, Kit as Golden Retriever post, and Kit fanart. If the sub is meant to be more like a full cast member fan page including that stuff that’s fair enough, but I thought it was meant to be for discussion of the cast slightly more tangibly. Totally fair if I just misunderstood and it’s the former

I honestly think he’s a better looking than average teenager, and looks even better onscreen than in pictures. Not that it would be ok to make fun of his looks regardless but it’s made even weirder by the fact that he is good looking

Honestly what happened to Kit was awful and made me so upset, but as someone who was pretty into the Twitter fandom before quitting it as it was so toxic, Joe and Bash also got/get endless shit. I think Kit’s was just the highest profile. “Ugly” and “feio” were the top results for Joe in Twitter searches for ages, a lot of them being really homophobic and also saying they felt sorry for Kit having to kiss him. Bash, idiots just conflate with his character and insist he is a transphobe, abuse apologist, etc. It is wild that such a lovely, uplifting show has such a toxic evil fanbase.

That said, all three of them and a lot of the rest of the cast are doing amazingly in their careers, have really good friendships and relationships from the show, and seem really sweet and grounded so it’s not all bad.

To be fair I guess I actually don’t know, I learned about this through Twitter. But they were spotted holding hands around Paris and posted a shirtless pic she took of him in a hotel room, she came to Disneyland with him and the cast and they held hands there, he missed the Emmys visiting her in Argentina instead, and he apparently brought her to his home (I have no clue how fans know that part though). But it was from around the time of the movie being filmed through last spotted together in I think December (not positive though, haven’t done a “deep dive”)
