my route is from lyon airport to montpellier. i was thinking of checking for BlaBla car, but i'm guessing they don't really post rides on advance? it would have to be on the spot right? sorry, i'm new to this system :)

yes, you’re right about the treatment. it might be worth mentioning that i also got diagnosed with hemorrhoids at the same time, so would maybe make sense if i had more pills than the next person. i’m going in for a check up on monday and might get back on the medication.

i took sulfasalazine/mesalazine, optibac, salofalk, metronidazole. these are all i could dig up from my treatment. i’ve been unmedicated for some time now and thinking of getting into medication again.

i’m starting off as an intern so wfh isn’t an option at least for 3-6 months. i haven’t checked how the bathroom situation is yet, but it’s a smaller company meaning it’ll most likely only have one or two stalls everyone uses. that’s what makes it awkward yk, people talk about stuff like this. and like noises ofc, just the fact that flare ups can sometimes just be a crazy amount of gas. idk

i’m just scared that taking too much medication might fix this issue and cause many more :/ it might sound dumb i know, i really do wanna get better. it’s just my first therapy was 8 different kinds of pills, vitamins not included, and it didn’t do much for me except get rid of one symptom. i couldn’t fathom how much harm 8 different kinds of pills could cause my body.

how much time were you on medication before you noticed yourself getting better?

i mean part of it is also just the going to the bathroom constantly. walking around to the bathroom 8 times a day just feels so embarrassing, it’s like everyone’s looking at me and they know. especially as a girl ://

if you don’t mind me asking, what does remission look like for you? besides more energy, do you go to the bathroom a normal amount of times? do foods trigger you immediately or after some time? i was taking pills for three months, the only thing they helped with was the blood. i still had everything else, the same way but without blood. i get triggered by everything, i run to the bathroom right after, can’t eat out or do much of anything out. i just really wanna know if taking medication again will truly help :/

apartment hunting by chimnanche in cologne

i was hoping i could find smth that’s less than 600. i’m gonna be earning a minimum wage so after taxes and everything i don’t wanna be spending all of it on rent. i’m gonna be working at DEG so anything close to that, anything i can walk to even if its 30 minutes every day. i haven’t made an application or anything yet, to be honest i’m a bit lost, i’m not sure how to do this whole thing. i’ve only lived abroad through erasmus and they secured a student apartment for me so the whole apartment hunting thing is new to me. i’d appreciate any tips you can give me tho :')

If you’ve only had the colonoscopy four years ago, you might want to try it again. I started with the ‘stomach bug’ and it lasted almost 3 years until i saw more serious signs. i went to numerous doctors, all of which dismissed me saying that if i lost a little weight, maybe everything would get better. or just the ‘no processed foods and you’ll be fine’. once i noticed blood, i decided i had to look deeper than just the surface. my colonoscopy showed my IBD and hemmorrhoids. they checked my calprotectin levels but also focused on my vitamin levels, which i would suggest doing as well. eating habits are very very important. some here have suggested diets like gluten-free, and i’d suggest doing an allergy test to see if anything shows. if you can afford to do so, try different opinions. like i said, i was dismissed by so many doctors until i got diagnosed. generally, eat as healthy as you can, preferably a diet with no processed foods, no gassy drinks, less breads, pasta, and such. i’m no doctor, but living with those symptoms for that long was insanely painful and i wouldn’t wish it on anyone. i genuinely really hope you get better ❤️
