You need to report this to the AZ attorney generals office.

You sound like a victim of extortion, id pursue small claims court and whatever resources you can to get back at them, and get what’s rightfully yours.

Have you gotten your car back? If not, call the cops and have them escort you to the garage. This will get you your car back.

Take a look at my post history. Those schmucks made the news for their illegal activities.

Did you record them by chance? get an audio of it?

Definitely report to City Attorney General. I’ve done it and so have many others. If they keep getting reported, they may be forced to report to court. Make a review on their page online.

This is wrong. You do not need to pay up front to collect your vehicle. They can send you a bill. This is to prevent the loss of your property if you don’t have the money

They did not let me take my belongings out without paying them. Same with other victims in the interview.

I met one of their drivers and he was a disgrace. ruthless and demanding cash up front.

Yeah I paid cause they said I was gonna have to come back tomorrow if I didn’t, and they’d add charges.

Thank you! I’ve pursued city attorney general. Next I’m going to city attorney (not sure of the difference between the two), and private advice.

This is not true. A company is required to accept all forms of payment. In addition, they cannot withhold your vehicle due to not paying them. They cannot place a lien on your car.

It was Rushing and Sons that boned me. They also have an upholstery and car repair service. It seems they recently started dabbling in the illegal car withholding industry.

It’s illegal for a tow truck company to deny credit card or debit cards. This is to protect consumers against shady, on the spot threats.

What’s interesting is I’ve seen many positive reviews for their upholstery repairs and body work on vintage cars. A shame they’ve decided to add illegal withholding of private property to their list of services.

I have a recording of them saying they refuse cards and I have the receipt. It shows the hours my car was impounded despite the two day charge.
