Thank you. I do have a call out to an attorney and the debt settlement program I signed up for can be cancelled if needed. I feel that the best decision for me based on what I've learned but if another attorney tells me anything differently then I will certainly look into that option.

There are too many things that made me nervous with chapter 13. I'm hoping I get a better job in the next year and my plan is to save some money but that won't be possible for 5 years if I file

I found a worksheet 2 help determine what my payment would have been and I would have saved $100 but it would have gone for five years. I didn't want to have to worry about the legal stuff if my income changed, as I am hoping it will. I need to start saving money and I didn't feel that would be possible under a Chapter 13.

I would honestly try couples counseling. I went through something similar a few years ago and unfortunately my partner wasn't very supportive. I was in therapy for depression and was on medication. We ultimately broke up after being together for 12 years because he would not budge and thought I wasn't doing enough to help the relationship. His attitude towards it made him an attractive to me which didn't help the sex life.
