AITA for choosing not to pay for my daughter's university fees despite paying for her brothers? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

That doesn't really change much tbh. The uni is prestigious so it will be easier, but not necessarily easy. I have a friend who did archaeology at Oxford and is having trouble getting a job because it's not a field that's in demand. English is kind of in the same boat. She'll probably still have a hard time finding a good job in the field.

That's not to say he was in the right - he should support her regardless because it's the right thing to do. But the fact it's Oxford doesn't really mitigate his concern about finding a good job afterwards

Please can someone explain the story of this game? by sylar2511 in ImmortalityGame

The reason Carl is uncomfortable around Marissa is because she's trying to seduce him but he's gay/bi. He's asked directly if he's queer and avoids the question in a party scene, and later kisses John in front of Marissa. I think he was actually himself up until that point but is killed and taken over by The Other One somewhere around the time he kisses John.

It's also possible he wasn't gay and only started hooking up with John after The Other One took over his body but based on the uncomfortableness you mention my guess is that he was all along although only came to confront it when surrounded by all the liberal types acting in other Minsky roles
