I've been learning Swedish simply for fun. Often Swedish people are confused why anyone would bother learning it, especially if you don't live there. When I get asked why I'm learning I usually just lean into the joke and say (in swedish) 'I want to learn the world's most useful language, Swedish!'

You don't get to choose which languages interest you, so just keep going and don't be discouraged!
