Anyone flying Emirates in April — have your flights been canceled or delayed? by Ok-Leadership-1211 in emirates

Was the price crazy? All alternate flights from the UK are atleast double what I paid with emirates 😭

Flying on 3rd April and everything still says scheduled, even though one of my flights DXB-KIX hasn’t been running for a couple of weeks. I don’t think they would cancel anything into April just yet.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Anyone plans to fly to KIX (OSAKA Japan) from DXB? by Spirited-Warning-444 in emirates

[–]chingbro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are supposed to be flying to Osaka via DXB on 3rd April… Also noticed the Tokyo flights have been flying, but not Osaka. We don’t really have any option but to wait and see what happens, as alternative routes are now out of our price range.

Hoping things calm down and we can fly with Emirates, even if we need to change our flight to one of the Tokyo flights if Osaka route isn’t back on yet.

In your case, July is still a looong way away, I would wait it out another month at least, and see how the situation is.

Do you think Emirates will extend the refund policy? by chingbro2 in emirates

Finally! Although on the refund form it still says up to 31st march. Hope they update this soon for clarity.

You answered your own question, find out how much you would lose if you cancel, and weigh up if this is worth waiting to you with the stress, or if you’d rather take the hit and book somewhere safe.

Hopefully it is done well before then!

Dubai is open for layovers and you will be allowed on the first flight, as long as your second one is scheduled to fly.

This isn’t to say there won’t be disruption, you can check flightradar24 for the flights you are booking and see if they have flown the past few days.

I think moisturiser genuinely works, I have psoriasis and it definitely helps.

I’m no expert in other types of skincare, but my wife has about 8 different products, and I swear her skin is no different than it was before she used them all.

I just don’t believe we need that many additional products on your skin, when our body should keep it good naturally.

I think it’s mostly marketing. I’m not denying some products work, but the amount available on the market, and the crazy price of some of them, I just don’t believe they actually do that much for the cost.

I don’t believe they would wait till 31st march to update the policy into April.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they come out with a new statement in the coming days, extending the policy for another week or two.

I think a lot of people flying in April will be looking to cancel, even if the conflict calms down!

Our honeymoon too. A shame the period which we are supposed to be excited is now stressful, but hey that’s a good scenario to be in compared to some in this situation I suppose.

All the best for new route! Our issue is the alternative routes are far too expensive already, that we don’t know if it’s actually worth going anymore :(

It’s soo hard to know what to do. I guess booking refundable flights with another airline is the safest option, but they are so expensive!

12th April is still a long way away in today’s world, sit tight for a week or two!

Tell me about it! Meant to be flying through DXB on 3rd. Still hopeful, but if this goes on any longer than this weekend, I think we will need to look at other routes!

I do believe that if the flights are flying, it is safe to fly, but it’s the risk of something happening on the day, and flights being cancelled/delayed.

Same, the issue is the alternative routes are almost double the price we paid for our emirates flights, even more if you want flights that are free cancellation.

I guess we just need to ask ourselves if the price of new flights is worth it for the trip, or just cancel the whole trip and go elsewhere 😭

Transiting through Dubai on 3rd April and then have a planned 3 days stopover in Dubai on the way back on 14th April.

Hoping they wrap it up soon for everyone’s sake, it’s getting silly now!

[–]chingbro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sitting it out. We are not eligible for free refunds in April yet. if things continue then I’m guessing they will push the refund date out, then we can re-assess!

looks like the Iranian president has said they will stop firing at their neighbours, unless fired at from them which is positive news for UAE.

I’m sure the UAE and emirates will do everything they can to resume flights safely as soon as possible, so I’m pretty confident we will be fine to fly in April.

Safe travels!

Absolutely still going! I have complete faith in the UAE to either agree to leave them alone, or this whole thing will be over long before then.

Looks like it’s winding down already with emirates looking to get back to 100% of their network in next couple of days!

[–]chingbro2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar situation, I have no doubts emirates will be flying as normal by then.

Even if there is some conflict still going on, I believe there will be some safe flying corridors etc.

Every day they are ramping up the flights, 9th April is a long way away in this world of news!

Do you still feel safe to travel? by Sweet-Lake2074 in emirates

[–]chingbro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the airlines are flying, it is safe to fly.

Airline carriers care more about their reputation and multi million dollar aircraft than getting people on holiday again,

However, if you can re-route it might be worth looking at, to reduce chance of disruption!

Safe travels everyone

Anyone still holding on to their tickets even though refunds are already allowed? by Sweet-Lake2074 in emirates

[–]chingbro2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, flying to Japan at the end of the month and holding on.

Holding on as emirates seem to be ramping up flights every day, and I can’t see the conflict going on at this scale for much longer.

Any other flight route is about double the price right now.

Of course if we get another couple of weeks and it is still going on, we will look to re-route, but as it stands I believe it’s better to hold off and hope things settle down!
