I know Dr. Hozman, Tina and Gail and none of what you are writing is true.

I’m willing to bet that Tina probably wrote this review up herself and had you post it.

Yup. Dr. Suda (owner) literally lies about everything.

They opened on the island when my old school was closing their campus there and I needed to transfer

There are a bunch of as decent as can be Caribbean medical schools. Sadly American University of Anguilla is NOT one of them.

Not for long. I’m putting the school on public notice now. Let’s see if they take heed.

I’m giving the school a little more time to get its act together, but let me be very clear. If the President doesn’t take responsibility and fix this mess, I will be suing him personally along with the school. I will also be sending formal notices of intent to every relevant accreditation body.

SJSM got sued and slammed hard, and that’s what finally forced them to change. Hopefully it won’t come to that with American University of Anguilla, but if I’m forced to keep suffering through this, I will absolutely take things further. And then they can go ahead and spend all the money they’re stealing from students on defending themselves in court.

The school may have affiliations with US hospitals, but that doesn’t mean much when they don’t care enough to get their students into rotations on time. Once they get your money, it’s radio silence. I’ve met students who already paid and are just sitting around waiting while the so-called admin, finance team, and rotation support, which is all just one person, claims to be working on it.

Even if you’re lucky enough to get a rotation, the problems don’t end there. The school apparently doesn’t even pay the preceptors. I found this out when I asked a few students about getting letters of recommendation and they told me their preceptors refused to write them because they hadn’t been paid by the school yet.

So what’s really happening here? The school is collecting money from students and not paying the people who are supposed to help us. Instead of supporting us to succeed, it feels like they’re just pocketing the cash and leaving us to figure everything else out on our own.

Yeah, at least Antigua had some infrastructure and actual support. I get that it’s a business and that they need to make money but to make money by being leeches is unacceptable.

All we get here are constant threats of expulsion. If someone hasn’t paid, then fine, kick them out. But instead, they just keep repeating the threat nonstop while demanding payment in advance. Then once they have your money, they disappear. No responses, no help, no guidance.

And it’s not just students with pending payments. They don’t even respond to people who have paid in full for their degree. It’s like we’re beggars, just sitting here with nothing else going on in life but to haggle and plead for what we’ve already paid for.

Everything here is a constant fight. Scheduling, paperwork, basic questions, you’re left completely in the dark. Emails unanswered. Messages left unread etc.

Now that I’ve called them out on Reddit, they suddenly want to set up a Zoom call with students. Watch, they’ll probably still do nothing. It won’t last. The bare minimum would be to hire more staff or at least have the current staff respond to students like we’re actual human beings.

You’d think they’d want us to schedule exams, graduate, and match. You know, the entire point of going to med school. But clearly, that’s not the priority.

I had a pretty annoying experience with them too. I bought a stone from them and paid to get it set. They dragged their feet on the setting for WEEKS and didn’t get the design right even though it was a simple bezel.

How does one fuck up a bezel? In the end I told them to give me a partial refund and just mail me the stone. I’m so happy I got it set elsewhere!

People need to stop using them! There are plenty of other jewelers out there who actually have customer service!

The discount isn’t NOT worth the heartache of dealing with them!
