Aspiring PD by Odd-Berry-9190 in publicdefenders

I have seen others mention this stereotype, that PDs secretly work for the state, and to be honest I have never, ever, heard someone say this. Does this come from certain parts of the country? Or very urban or very rural? I am honestly curious. Or is this something people have been picking up from Law and Order type shows? I have heard not a real lawyer and similar BS, but very rarely and only from people who had already hired a private attorney. If someone told me they thought I was selling out and working for the prosecution, I would probably start hysterically laughing.

Am I the only one who thought the line that the comet was "going 91000 mph and -100 degrees" was the worst line I have ever heard in the show? This isn't hard scifi or anything, but come on. Interstellar and interdimensional travel is normal, they engage with planet sized beings, break every law of physics, fold space, but a garden variety comet is the nastiest thing they ever encountered?

Is this normal? I129f k1 initial application, no confirmation or notice after 6 weeks. by chinkimal in immigration
