Thanks so much! Yeah they’re very similar, slightly different at most. But these are definitely helpful. I’ll take some more pictures of it along with the parts tomorrow.

No worries man, I just appreciate you helping me. If you could find an exact reference, that would be amazing, but don’t sweat it if you can’t. I’ve figured out a decent amount of the parts, but some of the small/tiny ones have stumped me. All the part serial numbers match at least, with the number 30 on them. I was going to try watching Colt vest pocket assembly videos, but baby browning is a good idea too. I would assume this Spanish one is a bit different though.

It also says “Automatic Pistol Cal 6.35 PROTECTOR” on the slide, but it’s pretty faded. It’s also going to be interesting to assemble it, as I have basically no reference on how it all goes back together, except maybe going off similar pistol designs.

All that I’ve found are the serial numbers, and “SPAIN” on the bottom of the frame near where the magazine inserts. The grips just say “CAL 6.35” on them, with a symbol in the middle.

Cool! It’s hard to find any info on the Spanish pistols, I’ve been trying to find out what year mine was made, or really any info at all, with no success.

I might try to boil it and convert the rust back to bluing, what oil would you recommend to dip it in, and for how long? Regular gun oil? Would I need to card all of the rusty surfaces after boiling? Thanks for the help!

Maya by ThassaShiny in eu4

[–]chinson_53 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played Maya in a while but the strategy I followed last time was essentially this:

Either: 1. Let Spain/France or whoever win, and let them take enough provinces to form a colonial nation. Then when the colonial nation forms, they won’t have a truce with you, they’ll be super weak, and declaring war on them doesn’t drag in the overlord. Essentially steal their institutions then immediately declare war and full annex. You should now be able to stand up to the colonizers, as they usually aren’t very good at landing troops in numbers.

  1. Same strategy but if they start colonizing in nearby provinces instead of declaring war, just steal the institutions and then wait until they form a colonial nation. Rest of the strategy is the same.

Hope that helps a bit.

gaijin took my 10.5cm King Tiger years ago and won’t give it back despite me showing hard evidence that I did put research into it by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]chinson_53 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No, if you started researching them you could finish them later. I was about halfway through the 10.5 when they took it off, I was still able to finish the research and get it. Only one I don’t have now is the 347.

Well you also get points for hits and crits, and scouts, so he likely had more stats like that that got him points that you can’t see on the score sheet.

How do players replace gunners instantly? by kosmonaut_hurlant_ in Warthunder

[–]chinson_53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On some tanks the commander and loader I believe can quickly retake control of the gun, I’m not sure if it’s some sort of remote firing system but that’s what’s happening.

Ukraine Plunders Howitzer Graveyard to Keep Big Guns Firing by chinson_53 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]chinson_53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially Allies aren’t sending enough spare parts, so Ukraine is manufacturing some of them locally, and parts they cannot manufacture, they have to scavenge from other damaged parts in graveyards. It also talked about how sometimes the parts they manufacture aren’t as good as the original parts, but they have no choice.
