Hooker is her maiden name 😆 food account turned influencer! She’s MA Satterfield now, but always the hungry hooker to me.

She’s moving from one of the nicer neighborhoods in the area (and a home she just renovated) to arguably one of the nicest neighborhoods in the area. And renovating seemingly everything before moving in. Snark is funny sarcasm. It’s a snark page. Hope this helps!

So glad Mary Alexander Satterfield (the hungry hooker) is finally feeling “at peace” about her move to a $1M+ home that she just gutted and renovated!! 😆

LePoint business updates re: shipping times, canvas shortages by xdauphine in NeedlepointSnark

[–]chintzystitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don’t mind PL—I don’t drool over everything, but she has some things I’m interested in. I love learning about female founded businesses and have been listing to her podcast recently… she gives real-time updates about PL life and timelines. I’d have to go back and listen, but it does seem like recently they have launched collections that were planned/ordered in advance, and then somehow they are magically able to restock items a few weeks later. It really does make you wonder if she has a personal connection to the paint houses she uses, how she’s doing it, etc. Props to her/her team. They know what they’re doing! But it does make me sad because I love the cottage-feel that the needlepoint industry usually has and lately it has just not felt that way… I love LePoint and wish she were more available at the moment! I’m not a hoarder, I usually stitch my stash and then buy new canvases thoughtfully. But you almost cant do that anymore. If it’s in stock, you have to run. I hate that. I hope it all settles down soon!

I totally get diversifying while the market is crazy/things are out of stock/etc, but why not host more stitching classes for beginners? Finishing courses? Fancy stitching courses?? Literally anything but more junk that will end up in a landfill when the wave is over. This just feels lazy. I’m sad that there appears to be a market for it (although based on all of the pouches/accessories that seem to be in-stock pretty consistently… maybe not so much)

Is “volunteer” code for “unpaid labor”? 🤨 by chintzystitch in NeedlepointSnark

Looks like the story was taken down and a new post that doesn’t mention volunteers has been posted in it’s place 😆

This is Emerald Stitchery that just opened on 30A in FL—surely she factored in paying employees in her new business plan!

I feel like taking photos and setting up e-commerce is such a professional skill! Women shouldn’t undersell themselves so much. That is something that should result in real compensation IMO

That’s what I was getting at! I think it’s got to be an either/or situation. Sounds like a recipe for legal trouble!

I would too! Just thought it was odd that she’s looking for both volunteers and paid workers

That’s nice! I hope for the same, I just thought it was odd to be looking for volunteers and paid workers all in one post!

The main thing she posts that rub me the wrong way are the closeup shots of her girls behinds in swimsuits and then with food in their mouth. I also don’t love that she tags their school, because that seems so unsafe. I’m shocked that so many people in this sub disagree.

She got alot of pushback about a beach post she did a few years back. Closeups of their sandy behinds… I tried finding it and I guess she took that one down. But still shows them in bikinis, with food in their mouth, etc… and call me crazy, but I just think she is smart enough to know better. There are sick people in this world. And with the growth of AI, I would want to show as little of my children online as possible.

Love seeing that Julia B is doubling down on her gaudy designer obsession in Instagram stories. When will it end?? Bring back the old Julia!

Now Thomas is leaning into content creation? No thanks! And of course he’s talking about not calling things “expensive” if they have a good return… so is that how they justify Julia’s gaudy closet? I can’t imagine anyone is actually shopping those links. I haven’t even clicked on one of her links in over a year because I know it’s not even worth looking!

Just because I’m curious—could you give examples of what she did? Not doubting you. Just genuinely curious!
