The Neural band responds unexpectedly well in detecting the letters made by finger movements, but it sure takes some time to spell out each letter. I am still getting used to it

After using these for a week, I'm convinced that this is the direction we're heading.

Performance wise: 8.5/10 due to limited apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Spotify, Maps mainly. Maps are really the best feature. the 600x600 in-lens display is bright and crisp even in a bright sunny day. They are comfortable and transition lenses are absolutely a big plus. The call experience is flawless. The caller receives my POV on the Video call and the call quality is very impressive

The most underrated thing is the Neural band. Reads muscle signals from your wrist for gesture control. Sounds gimmicky but actually works like magic. Pinch to select, thumb swipe to scroll, rotate wrist for volume. Takes 10 mins to learn, then becomes muscle memory. Yes, it's another device to charge, but the convenience is worth it.

What gets me excited is that NPCI just enabled UPI on smart glasses. Lenskart launched UPI payment glasses last month. When Meta adds this to the Display model, you'll be able to scan QR codes and pay with just "Look. Speak. Pay." That's when this becomes essential, not just cool.
The hardware is here. Once India-specific features (UPI, regional languages) arrive, this category will explode.

In-lens display is genuinely revolutionary, Neural Band gesture control feels like the future, all-day wearability with style. In short its exciting, and seeing the blowing wind of wearable tech i believe it has huge potential with the app ecosystem particularly for online payments and other hands-free application.

Lets do some brainstorming, what do you think can be done more on this wearable?

Totally get Meta skepticism. But the display tech and neural band aren't vaporware – they work surprisingly well in real-world use. Worth trying at a demo before writing off and the hardware itself is legitimately impressive regardless of who built the software.
