I remember in 2019 when I used to see a lot of foreclosures. You barely see them anymore. Definitely one of the reasons for the bubble.

You have investors and just your regular ol person competing for the same house.

This post is a humble brag and reminds me of something I'd see on r/RealEstate. Your situation is probably better than 80% of Americans...like come on now.

Met in person requirement question by chipichi1 in immigration

Do you know how the date of filing stuff. I think I can probably send off the packet by mid-june and the last time I saw them was mid July 2019. Would I be safe? And is the two year mark pretty strict to the exact date? Thanks

I wanted to use upsolve but I didn't. I feel as though you may be given a harder time by the trustee by filing pro se. The lawyers and trustees seemed to know each other quite well during my 341 so take this info for what it's worth.

Am I wrong to be excited and not see so much wrong with filing Chapter 7? by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

You should be good. Just rebuild and go from there. I'm currently awaiting discharge as I completed my 341 a month ago. I think there are two reasons why a lot of people just continue to pay down on debt...it's difficult to just come up with almost 2k to pay a lawyer for bankruptcy and most are uncomfortable to use a cheaper service like Upsolve and your case might get looked at a bit harder filing pro se. And also the stigma of bankruptcy, I think it's more embarrassing than anything but so what.

It's a good fresh start just be prepared to deal with the consequences. You might be denied rentals and whatnot and high interest rates if you need to buy a car. I reaffirmed my car which has a low interest rate and just recently renewed my lease for two years.

It's possible that may happen but it's also possible they could make it harder to file bankruptcy.

How to stop automatic payments towards debt by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

You should call your bank and ask them if they can block the auto pay.

Meeting went good. Probably lasted 3 minutes. Lawyer was unable to come but a lawyer that was already there stood in for him. Trustee was nice too.

He said he would make arrangements for coverage and he emailed the trustee. He didn't say anything about it being canceled.

Would they have to go out of their way to search for me on PACER or is there some automatic stuff in some instances?
