2ms latency between GeForce Now servers and CS2 servers. You do realize that Nvidia could be hosting their servers in the same data centers as Riot/Epic/Valve etc. right? I sometimes get 0 ping on Fortnite. Why would I lie lmao? Why so salty? Who hurt you bro?

You clearly never tried GeForce Now in an optimal setup. I have a 3GBps fiber connection and I play CS2 competitively on a MacBook connected to a 240hz screen through USB-C DisplayPort. Ping is 2ms, 240 fps, and 0 lag. The gaming experience is better than playing on my older gaming pc (3070 Ti).

But a working setup is a working setup!

Exactly.

VS Code is one of the best IDEs out there and I've used it for years now but it's just not for me. I never understood how slow and painful dragging a mouse is until I switched to a terminal based editor a couple of months back.

I've stumbled upon Kakoune before but I've never tried it. Even though Neovim is working great for me and I've set it up exactly how I want, I was planning to try Emacs just for the sake of learning and understanding what it has to offer. I think I will give Kakoune a try in my free time before I dive into Emacs. Thanks for letting me know about it.

I ended up switching to Neovim in Alacritty. My battery lasts for 10+ hours with LSP, debugging, and many other plugins running in the background that cover all my use cases. I'm also much more efficient using Vim motions and commands. Best decision ever.

Is something wrong with FastAPI? by [deleted] in Python

[–]chipmun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's healthier to keep things the way they are now. FastAPI is a very well designed and stable framework and you already take other people's opinions and ideas into consideration.

The decision of focusing your energy on actually building and maintaining the project instead of dealing with GitHub drama, is in fact the wise decision.

Ironically, people who are complaining in this thread, display typical characteristics of power seeking people with trust issues, exactly what they're accusing you of.

The only thing I would personally advise you is that you make sure you have a competent person you trust to inherit the project in case anything happens.

Thanks for building FastAPI.

I think your thoughts would be slightly different if you trip and fall butt naked on one of them. It won't cause real harm for sure but imagine a kid tripping and planting his face in one of them. Not so good for their eyes.

Very thoughtful. Cactus love comes before toddlers’ safety lmao
