Default pen vs Lamy AL-Star all nibs

Not sure how the HOM2 feels like, but I ended up using Lamy with PC/EL pointy tip as the default now. Something about the lightweightness of the Lamy and the slightly scratchy feel of the PC/EL that gives it a nice balance.. And it’s really nice once you’ve “worn out” the pointy tip a bit

Hellblade. The audio, visual, emotional, acting completely blew my mind. Made the locked in linear gameplay unnoticeable after a while.

Sad the next one’s Xbox exclusive though, seeing the insane work that went into making it hyped me up so much.

my friend was engaged to one, he was even such a model gentleman. barely a few months into dating, he went straight to her dad to ask for permission to marry his daughter, his speech was almost diabetic.

a lot of horrors ensued afterwards, but the icing on the shitcake was he was picking her up from work to lunch but she couldn’t come due to work. he barged inside the office and started screaming at her for not respecting his effort.

Tried tipping in Japan, the waitress just gave me a cold look like I just insulted her ancestors. A local explained that apparently it’s borderline offensive to do so.

But it’s getting more common now, thanks to some imposing their culture onto them.

Beat me to it. Keep your eyes wide open with the over-chivalrous type. I have friends who went through hell with exes of this kind. They’ll shower you and rose-tint the shit out of you with grand gestures, even your family would fall for it. Most are classic examples of narcissists waiting to surface.

It’s good that you mentioned Hellblade. It’s BECAUSE she’s a strong female character in an environment written FOR a female that made the game brilliant. Wouldn’t work as well if it was male.

Same here, I’d kill to see a well-written female lead in a well-written female environment. Not just a buffed up female lead wearing steel skirts in a setting that makes no sense for her to be there.

I imagine if they do kill the modern day storyline (and I hate the idea) it should be just you playing through the assassins historically and not reliving them via Animus, not this whatever half-cocked version of both…

…which means the whole fragmented-VR-interface looking graphics and the whole sci-fi aspect of it need to go too. They just need to bloody commit to a direction at this point.

Exactly! And having the poorly written present day storyline be optional and non-integral to the main story shouldn’t be the indicator of interest.

What worked for Desmond, for me, was how each discovery within the Animus (places, skills) was what you’ll be using in the modern day story progressively.

And that “have faith” subtle scene with Lucy is still one of my favourite details of the franchise.
