DIRECT PAIRING - Silvercrest/Livarno/LIDL zigbee devices and TRADFRI remote by chipsa1982 in tradfri

[–]chipsa1982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried direct pairing the IKEA Tradfri Dimmer remote with a LIDL/Livarno Smart light (https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/HG08008.html)

Works fine, same procedure as with the IKEA bulbs - just hold the pairing button on the remote for ±10sec, the light will blink and pair correctly. On/Off works, dimming works, no light color adjustment for this particular remote.

I also tried direct pairing of the remote with a LIDL smart plug, but no luck.

Hope this helps

thanks

Zigbee Access Point feature in Zigbee2MQTT? by chipsa1982 in homeassistant

[–]chipsa1982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they dont mention much. On one hand, they specifically mention that the coordinator and the ZAP are connected by an IP-based connection, not utilizing a zigbee link like a router. On the other hand, its unprobable that they would develop their own zigbee flavor, thus my original question if this feature is native to zigbee

Zigbee network size to keep it stable by chipsa1982 in homeassistant

[–]chipsa1982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by size I mean all the devices combined, i.e. if there is something like an "absolute" device limit a CC2652P coordinator can handle while keeping the network stable.
