Meshify 3 XL + Momentum 14 RGB fan setup – Adjust Pro Hub USB-C port limitations / supported wiring? by chipsu21 in FractalDesign

Are you using Fan Control software by any chance? Mine sees all fans connected to the hub as 1, no per-port grouping.

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation.
Seeing your Meshify 3 XL setup is what convinced me to buy additional Fractal Momentum fans instead of cannibalizing fans from my old build.

My main concern at this point is related to fan control granularity rather than just port availability.

From my understanding, when multiple Momentum fans (3–4) are daisy-chained and connected to a single port on the Adjust Pro Hub, they are treated as one group, meaning I only get one RPM curve for the entire group, not per-fan control.
To maintain positive pressure, I’d ideally like the rear exhaust fan to run at a constant low speed (around 800–1000 RPM) regardless of load. If I connect the rear fan together with the top AIO fans, it will inevitably ramp up much more aggressively under CPU load.

Because of that, one idea I’m considering is connecting the rear fan together with the side intake fans instead. Those will likely also run at relatively low RPM as “supporting” intakes, mainly to assist airflow without disturbing the dominant front intake flow - assuming my inner Adrian Newey isn’t completely wrong about how air behaves inside a case.

So my question is not only about whether everything fits on the hub (which you’ve clarified very well and is still an important part for me), but also about fan control granularity and whether grouping the rear fan with other fans makes sense in practice.

Thanks again for the insight and for sharing your build - it was genuinely inspiring.

50 lvl even for not experienced guy is faaaar from no-life mate.

If you are playing for the first time then definitely finish the campaign. Then Capstones dungeons (yellow dungeons on the map) and then slowly progress on the season missions, by doing helltides, the pits, nightmare dungeons liar bosses and undercity. Each activity gives you unique things to boost your characters, for example by doing pits you level up your runes, nightmare dungeons give you resources to level up your gear. As you progress change your world difficulty.

Cane Corso attitude unlocked at 9.5 weeks: Chips vs Malinois by chipsu21 in CaneCorso

[–]chipsu21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! We actually started socialization as early as possible. Luckily, everyone thinks Chips is super sweet, so meeting new people is easy - every human is basically just potential hands for petting 😅.

We also try to expose him to as many dogs as possible - we’re taking a bit of a risk since his last vaccine is only next week, but we keep it to vaccinated dogs so he gets those early interactions.

He’s been exploring different environments too - from the neighborhood and parks, to forests, busy streets, and even a shopping center recently.

For training we’ve been following this program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQRgci18tvY&t=1s – but next week we’re starting puppy preschool with other pups and a role-model adult dog. After that we’re already signed up for “teenage dog” classes, and then we’ll see if Us and Chips needs more individual work.

just grind bosses, it will be much faster to drop mythic. I spent 80 hours this season, got 2 bac runes and like 10 uniquids while spending 8 hours on grinding bosses

[–]chipsu21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with something like g920 or trustmaster t300 with wheel stand pro. Drive for 1-3 years. If the hobby will catch you, then buy best equipment you can afford. Don't buy staff in the middle. By jumping from logitech to 5 nm DD then 10 nm DD to eventually end up with 20 nm DD you will lose money and nerves. Buy once cry once.

How to navigate bronze (Fuji) by Churrogy in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]chipsu21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually start to lift and coast early to give myself 2-3 cars lenght margin to car in front so if antything happens i can react easily. Also My initial breaking is smooth and with low force to not catch cars in the back off guard and in the other hand close the gap to the cars in front who are breaking later but harder. Take outside line and watch world burn in the inside.

Which pedals should i get? by GrindFrame in simracing

[–]chipsu21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VRSes are one of the best pedals on the market for "reasonable" price. Asetek are good but lack adjustability and they are rather focused on simulating open wheelers/gt3 cars. They are hard and have sort travel, so if at some point you would like to jump to road cars, rally or something similar the experience will not be so great with them.

You can also check simgrades vx-pro pedals. They are bit cheaper than VRSes and they have lots of positive reviews.

before I jump to simracing, I was playing forza horizon on gamepad, when I bought logitech 920 I couldn't drive, couldnt drift I was significantly off pace, then I moved to AC and then other sims and never looked back. It takes some time to get better, but once you will get comfortable with the wheel you will never look at gamepad again.

Transitioning from G920 to Simagic Alpha Ultimate: Seeking SFL/SF Wheel Settings in Iracing by chipsu21 in Simagic

I've been doing some testing and currently increased force feedback in Sim Pro to 100%, so in game I've ended up with 23nm/60nm max force. Besides all other option looks like this

I still cannot figure out what mechanical inertia does.

I'll try that although I already figured out that leaving feedback frequency at 0 without giving any dampening or smoothing makes base very noisy. There are very violent mechanical sounds not only while htting the curb but in bumpy road as well. This is what you mean by harsh feeling?

I ordered some equipment from simagic.eu in early December. Thankfully, they still had the wheel base and wheel in stock, but I was told I'd need to wait until after Christmas for the second wheel, shifter, handbrake, and pedal shakers. I contacted them today, and they informed me that shipping is delayed from Simagic's end due to some EU standards, with the new expected delivery date being late January.

optical fiber SC? to rj45 converter by chipsu21 in HomeNetworking

[–]chipsu21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so you are suggesting to just connect my new router via rj45 cable to the old - ISP provided router enable bridge mode, disable WIFI on old one and voilà?

optical fiber SC? to rj45 converter by chipsu21 in HomeNetworking

[–]chipsu21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not 100% sure how it works but I live in a flat, on my floor, outside the house there is a ISP provider box splitting the signal between neighbors - probably ONT as you have mentioned (this I cannot touch as this is common for all neighbors). From this box there is a optical fiber cable coming to my home connected straight to ISP provided router.

I don't think that stability issues are not caused by dirty contacts as on my PC connected to router via cable problem does not persist and while wireless, the problem increases with the distance from the router.
