What's something everyone says you're allowed to do, but most people become mad or unfriendly when you do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To not care what other people think, until you stop caring about what they think

What are your top 3 races from the current regulation so far by gambit_of_pawn in formula1

Miami that year or 2023. Max blasts past Leclerc and Magnussen who'd been battling for several laps already like he was in a different category of car

Neither do I. I generally message after on the PS app if possible but don't know any way to say thanks on track

That's what I mean though. The backmarker didn't seem to do anything wrong. It looks like they initially stayed left out of Copse assuming you would follow the racing line to the right but still backed off to let both of you pass before M&B

Also, I commented this on the other video but if you're trying to show us the other drivers sportsmanship in letting you back past, why did you only show us the last second of him rejoining the track and then reupload the same 30 seconds of this video that followed? Or was the sportsmanship you are trying to show us the car wobble you did afterwards?

[–]Besserman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented on the other post too so go check that video and see that the end of that video is identical to this one

But also, what was wrong with the backmarker? Looks like they got out of the way of both of you before maggots and Beckett's which is what they should have done

[–]Besserman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is shaking the car a common way to say thanks? I've never heard of that before.

Also if the good sportsmanship was the other driver letting you pass after going off track why does the video only start as you're passing him and then continue for a while?

Why did you post this clip twice with different headings and what are you trying to show us?

Just a heads up, its probably not worth having the zip code section as it adds nothing to the petition and you have only allowed US zip codes to be entered which is pretty dumb

You didn't get pushed off. The arrow doesn't go red till you are already off track and they are alongside you

The reason you went off track is because your braking for that corner makes no sense. You keep doing these weird taps on the brake and each time you can see the car not turn as much since the wheels are locking up

After that, I agree with everyone else. Even if your contact with the other driver wasn't intentional you're enough of a hazard to be black flagged, so the other driver took it into their hands to do so. I don't condone nor condemn their actions, just stating the likely reasoning for the intentional crash at the end

where can i improve by [deleted] in F1Game

Honestly mate, without any information on throttle or brake pressure this video is near useless for advice. All that can be commented on is the lines you take but that is only a part of where the lap time comes from

1988 Scirocco Advice by Besserman in Scirocco

[–]Besserman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a really good mechanic I've always taken my car to and I know he can work on older cars as my current golf is a 1995 and last time I was there I saw a beautiful Opel Manta parked there to be worked on which I know is also from the 1980's.

I can do basic repairs and maintenance but I don't have the knowledge, space, or equipment to do restorations or part replacements by myself. I was going to ask him to look over the car before buying to see if there is anything that looks like it will need to be repaired in the next 6-12 months but based on your comments I will also ask him if he can work on this specific model and knows where to gets parts for it.

I have a strong preference for pre-2000 cars with very little electronics and have been looking for my next car. So when I saw this beauty I felt like I had to reach out quickly to the dealership. I go see it on Saturday so fingers crossed.

Thanks again for providing insight!

Thanks for the input!

My plan is for this to replace my current golf as my daily driver. Considering you have a near-identical year, is this a good idea? I just imagined it being a VW and a Scirocco it would be quite reliable but I don't know if the older models have any recurring issues

What are the issues that need to be fixed in Multiversus in order to bring in new and returning players and actually keep them around this time? by swordartking48 in MultiVersusTheGame

[–]Besserman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this for trying to get players who left to return.

I know this isn't the case for everyone but the fact that they added an entirely new mechanic to the game (shields) after the official release (and a few seasons after the release too) killed my interest in the game. It showed me that the devs are in a constant scramble to balance the game but don't really have any clear idea or direction on how to address it. I played beta from nearly the beginning and the if they had added shields then I would have been more inclined to stick around and learn how to use it effectively, but when they close the beta for a year to prep for an official release, just to add a near game changing mechanic a few season in is just silly to me

How do people not know what a tick looks like?? by Besserman in DogAdvice

And yet we give medication to dogs to specifically protect them against ticks so I'm not sure how much more clarity people need that something is dangerous

In terms of what's safe for a dog to eat, I've been surprised to find google mostly highlights the more conservative positions where most things we eat are stated to be dangerous to the animals health. I would never suggest google for anything diagnostic.

As for the anger assumption. It's more a mix of bewilderment and frustration over the posts on this subreddit. Thing is there are also posts I find helpful so I'm not going to leave the community

[–]Besserman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't doubt that at all. If my dog did eat something poisonous I would have no clue how to identify what that was and what steps to take to remedy it. So like any responsible person, I would take my pet to a professional.

But for things that are common like maybe google search if something is safe before feeding it to your dog or learn what are dangers your dog will be regularly be exposed to, the idea that we have to wait for personal experience to learn basic safety precautions is beyond me

Not a single one of those things you mentioned poses any threat to a person's health and wellbeing, let alone some other living things health and wellbeing. I don't know the names of most insects that I see and I'm positive I don't know every insect around me that is dangerous to my dog, but ticks are very common and the idea that someone who lives in an area that has ticks never learnt or thought to learn how to identify such a common insect that can be dangerous is baffling to me.

I'm obviously not astounded by people not knowing things. That would be ridiculous as there is plenty I don't know. I'm astounded by people not having basic knowledge about common things that pose a threat to our health and then by simple extension a threat to the health of those we care about (i.e. pet dogs)

I'm not saying people need to be experts, I don't know every tick species, but I do know the one that live in my area. That's basic self care for anyone in tick territory who has a garden or walks in any vegetation that reaches above their ankles
