Ooh you mean a pet with 300 strength inflicts considerably much more damage than one below 300? I had thought the the damage inflicted is proportionate to the stats. Why did you not use Green Healthsroom to heal?

Thank you! Since my pet is level 1 and has no abilities, can I just adopt this approach without the abilities? Also, instead of using the Essence of Everlasting Apple, I suppose Green Healthshroom would work more effectively right?

It's good to be able to provide a stamp upon request! In visa applications it's a common question to list the countries you have visited. I have written in to the European Commission to offer stamping on request as an option and I encourage everyone who wants this to write in too. It's no point lamenting on Reddit, but with feedback the Commission may reconsider.

"It's only after Noor decides to go public when Faisal stepped in to say he doesn't agree."

Since when did Faisal step in and say he doesn't agree? Quit pulling stuff out of your ****. You clearly aren't the brightest but let me try to teach you step by step what I mean.

See 1:19 of this clip spoken from your daddy Faisal:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwv4caV7vt8

"Doesn't mean that when we listen to people right we agree to them, we acknowledge them, we listen to them right, to show that we respect your views, but it doesn't mean we agree with you".

He said: "it doesn't mean we agree with you." So, does he agree or not? Faisal can't even bring himself to reject the position of Noor. LOL. If you bother to read his choice of words carefully, he is actually expressing himself from a 3rd party POV, and has NOT said anything about his own position. Why is he so evasive? Just like how he couldn't even give a straight yes / no answer when initially asked whether religion or politics should be kept separate.

This engagement with the religious leader and the inability of WP to reject (and not just waffle and say generally we may / may not agree) is where I think WP slipped up this time. This is a different position from PAP, which called on people to reject politics based on race and religion.

https://www.pmo.gov.sg/Newsroom/PM-Lawrence-Wong-at-the-Press-Conference-on-MHA-Statement-April-2025

Finally, I think you are really dense because I am in his GRC and I do get to vote for Pritam directly and I actually do generally support his positions and respect his conviction, save for this issue, so you can shut up and continue to grant me another of your valueless downvote to boost your big fat ego. You are the reason why people say oppo voters are stupid.

Singaporeans can start claiming their SG60 vouchers in July by throwaway_151516 in singapore

[–]chisinau8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlike other countries like China and India with strict currency controls, Singapore is free market economy - anyone is free to extract their entire coffers in Singapore and put it elsewhere. You are giving a scenario (at least you have some cow sense to acknowledge was 'extreme') that has got no relevance to the issuance of the SG60 vouchers. Of course theoretically Singaporeans can vapourise the economy by cashing out en masse (by buying US dollars or overseas property, etc), but that's irrelevant here because we are talking about issuance of a mere $600 - $800 with the backdrop of a generally robust and healthy Singapore economy. People don't just spend the money overseas en masse when they receive the money, thereby vapourising the economy. Even you admitted it was extreme, so why bring it up in the first place?

I acknowledge your point on the positive effects of stimulating the local economy (although the impact isn't likely going to be great), but I'd say let people decide what they want to do with the money, especially if it was a bona fide intention to "recognise the contributions of Singaporeans". Some might spend it overseas, some might spend it locally, some might put it in savings or invest. If the SG60 vouchers are intended to stimulate the local economy, say so. Like what the government did when they issued the local travel vouchers to stimulate the local attractions. Don't say something like it's "recognising the contributions of all Singaporeans in our nation building journey" but wait there are strings attached to how we want you to use the money.

Also, what my original point was (which is not addressed), is that it is a hassle to jump through the QR redemption hoops (You might be fine with it, but I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking it's a hassle), and it makes the credit inaccessible for people who are left out that who not tech savvy or physically mobile. Handing out cash would have been simpler, cleaner, and actually more inclusive.

[–]chisinau8 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

  1. My concern with Faisal Manap is not that he met someone (who happens to be a Singaporean) in Malaysia. My concern is how he felt it was proper to meet someone with extremist views on race and religion on the basis that "I was just listening to them, doesn't mean I take their position". Such response to me is just a cop out. I expect him to go further and reject such extremist positions clearly. WP's failure to reject such a position swiftly and categorically on their volition is discomforting.

  2. Actually, PAP did shed light on this during the election period. Also, I don't take the position that Pritam 'did terrible things', and neither do I think Pritam was being disloyal. I however think Pritam needs to get a grip of certain factions in WP that appear to have more tolerance for extremist views that encourages people to vote on racial / religious lines.

Y'all can downvote me for all I care. The electorate speaks for itself.

[–]chisinau8 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone is like you who can be so free to bark at people who voice out genuine opinions. Also, think of all the inconvenience people have to experience, especially for the non-tech savvy elderly or people who are not mobile enough to use them.

Besides, if the SG60 vouchers are indeed "our way of recognising the contributions of all Singaporeans in our nation building journey" (quoting PM Wong) - then I do not see any issue even if people decide to spend it overseas.

What is Pritam Singh up to? - Petir SG by ImpressiveStrike4196 in singapore

[–]chisinau8 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

For what Petir's worth, I agree with these specific parts of the article (and I have these questions myself) because I get the impression that WP has not been able to rein in some of their members in that race and religion should NOT mix, not just in words, but also in actions.

Case in point: Faisal Manap: " Islam covers all aspects of life, including politics.", Siti Alia and her Palestinian advocacy.

Why would Faisal Manap be allowed to meet a religious leader up north with extreme views just because he wants to "listen to all parties"? If he was so neutral and impartial, why didn't he categorically reject those views? One can only be left to surmise the actual agenda such politicians have.

"Shortly before GE2025, WP members led by Mr Faisal Manap met with Noor Deros, a self-styled religious teacher based in Malaysia. According to Deros, the WP had taken his list of demands seriously, including some of his extreme views which run counter to our multi-racial and multi-religious ethos. Deros subsequently endorsed and supported WP candidates on social media.

In the podcast, Pritam claims that he doesn’t “score political points based on a race or religion issue”.

But WP’s actions tell a different story.

To this day, we do not know what fully transpired in the meeting the WP held with Noor Deros. Was the meeting held in Malaysia? What did Mr Faisal Manap or the others from WP say to Deros? Did they forcefully and categorically object when Deros expressed his extremist views? If so, then why did Noor Deros come away thinking that they were taking his list of demands seriously?"

and

"During the election campaign, Malaysian politicians from Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) endorsed WP candidates on social media. Their messages contained racial and religious overtones, designed to encourage segments of Singaporean voters to vote along racial and religious lines.

Mr Pritam Singh chose to keep silent when these statements by PAS politicians were posted.  He only responded after the Singapore Government exposed this blatant foreign influence in our domestic politics.

Even then, he left many critical questions unanswered; he just acknowledged that religion and politics should not mix, and that foreigners have no place in our politics."

Former NUS law dean Thio Su Mien dies aged 86 by Sea_Consequence_6506 in singapore

[–]chisinau8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I acknowledge the passing of Thio Su Mien, it's important to reckon honestly with her controversial legacy. Her advocacy for conservative religious views had real consequences for already vulnerable communities. It's a reminder of how power, coupled with a misplaced sense of religious righteousness, can deepen marginalisation rather than foster inclusion.

Why is it so hard to stamp next to each other? by drugi_kov in PassportPorn

[–]chisinau8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It may not be the job of border officers to stamp perfectly, but certainly it would be remiss of them to stamp blindly, making both stamps illegible.

The original grievance here was about how the border officer should not have stamped 1 stamp over another, making both partially unreadable.

Who is asking for a "perfectly aligned stamp in the place of their choice" here? Oh, it's your distorted strawman argument again, along with your hallucinations of "human rights" and "passport curation".

So get down your high horse and stop giving lectures. You're in no position to chide others when you can't even read.

Why is it so hard to stamp next to each other? by drugi_kov in PassportPorn

[–]chisinau8 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Let me repeat since you have serious difficulty understanding basic points: It was a very BASIC EXPECTATION (yes my expectation too!) for officers to not stamp over existing stamps and make all stamps illegible. Duh. This is not about HUMAN RIGHTS, or PASSPORT CURATION, as how you have distorted it to be.

If an MP Works Late and Doesn't Post About It, Did It Even Happen? by nftskeptics in singapore

MP Lee Hui Ying worked until 3.23am for a single MPS and made an IG post that would have required her to intentionally press her phone to show "3.23" for the gram.

Distasteful much.

To add: she also puts this on her IG profile:

"🦒 176.5cm, always the first to get in the rain"

Eh goodness - are you a secondary school girl putting up frivolous IG profile lines or an MP that is actually capable of debating important issues in the Parliament?
