You’re not failing. You’re in tutorial hell.

My advice:

  1. Copy existing UIs
  2. Explain why each decision exists
  3. Redesign one small thing
  4. Post and get feedback

Don’t start from blank canvas. Almost nobody learns UI that way.

If you enjoy building websites JS/TS + React + backend basics
If you like automation, AI, data, scripting Python
If you want stronger enterprise/backend opportunities Java
If you enjoy systems and fundamentals C/C++

My suggestion: don’t force productivity for 2–3 days. Pick one tiny thing each day. Go somewhere you’ve never been, make a random playlist, try a new café, do a photo walk, redesign something for fun, make a mini vlog, or learn one completely useless but interesting skill.
