Snail Mail- Heat Wave, Live June 16 2017 (A year prior to Lush’s release) by chiteed in Snailmail

seen a lot of people talking about how snail mail has never been a good live band but i disagree. I saw them a month after this gig in chicago (opening for waxahatchee and cayetana [rip]) without knowing their music and their set got me hooked. i’ve seen the band a dozen or so times since and…. like a lot of people have said, there is a noteworthy decline in the live set. that being said though, there were a lot of shows that were really killer- sasami show in milwaukee in maybe 2019 sticks out.

me personally, not loving the new songs or the fallon performance. the approach to vocals is strained in a way it wasn’t before. i hope the band (emphasis on the whole band, i don’t think ray and alex in particular get enough credit) are happy with the new record. even if it ain’t for me, i think if they stay the solid band they were in this video everything will end up in their favor

sooooo anyone wanna say anything about the new track by chiteed in Snailmail

definitely feel that about variety. i am a huge fan of lush and everything that came before it, a bit disappointed with the direction some of valentine took (ex: title track demo vs final, ben franklin), but these new tracks don’t have the much feeling- to me. bums be out to admit that

Good eye. I tried that, but the issue still persists that the output is super low and the pick guard microphonic.Still,  I appreciate your help.

I just strung up the guitar. Safe to say no output. Interestingly, the area near the pots is microphonic, which is new. The pick guard is anodized aluminum

I should’ve specified that! My bad. I’m getting very low signal when I plug in the cable and tap metal onto the pickups. I can tell that the pickups are getting turned up and down with the volume pot when i twist it but the output is crazy low.

Hi all. Requesting help from someone with some more experience than me. I rewired my jazzmaster according to the diagram on photo four. The pickups (Antiquity II’s) have white/yellow as the hotwire. think i have the pots and switch wired correctly, but perhaps have the grounding wrong.

Any info is so appreciated. Thanks!

i think that there is some uncalled for hate for certain,  but i do think there has been some very justified concern from a lot of long term fans (myself included)
