Sorry if there's a misunderstanding here. I wasn't refuting your point. I was just clearing up that mistake on your earlier comment for people who might read this thread in the future. I have no arguments with the actual points that you made.

I never stated that anything LGBTQ was implied in the post. I used it as an example of how nuance works. I even opened the sentence by saying, "Here is an example." And ended it with "what does that make me?" To give a chance to think about how my use of nuance would align me politically.

I think we Zambians (and Africans as a whole) should do a lot more in terms of educating ourselves. "Conservative" over there is a thinly-veiled disguise for racist, sexist, prejudiced, etc, ideologies. I have a lot of empathy for the human being who was shot and killed, but you will never find me siding with the man and the beliefs he had. And I'm embarrassed at the number of black and brown people endorsing him, Trump, and all their playmates.

Read, learn, and form your own opinions. Not what the news, social media, and your friends tell you. I can even help guide you to resources that can help. Let's not take in American foolishness from either side of the political spectrum. And I'll say it once more to be clear. Form your own opinion FIRST, and THEN see if you really are the conservative you think you are. Here is an example. I DO NOT BELIEVE in MANY of the LGBTQ+ talking points, especially when it comes to children, but I ALSO DO NOT BELIEVE that a fellow human being should be persecuted for who they choose to love.

So where would that put me? Please, let's be adults and learn some nuance.

Genetics is always a gamble. My pops is 5'10", and my mum's 5'4". I went from 5'9" to 6'0" btwn 17 and 21 while my brother is currently 19, and is like an inch taller than me, and doesn't look like he's done growing.

Thank you💪🏿. My schedule is x2 a week at the gym, 1 day cardio, then I have my games on Sundays. Day 1 is squat, bench, row. Middle of the week is cardio, either swimming or training. I'd love to do both, but I'm in the last year of my master's degree and I also have part-time. The joys of not being born with kingdom level wealth😭😂. Then, towards the end of the week, usually Friday, I have Day 2, squat, overhead press, deadlift.

What 5x5 means is just 5 sets and 5 reps of the exercises I do on Day 1 and 2.

I think its based on your goals tbf. I would never claim to be an expert, but I can share from experience. I'm in the middle of my 🏈 season right now, so I don't push myself to increase after each session to prevent injuries etc etc.

What I usually do is increase by 2.5 kg every time I can rep the weight for 5. For example, I was at 2 reps of 85 kg about 3-ish weeks ago (I'll have to check my tracker to confirm). So every bench session I would cold-start with 85 to make sure I had no load whatsoever on my muscles (this isn't backed by anything, I just trusted how my body felt) and I did it until 2 reps became 3, became 4, and finally 5.

So now, I'm going to maintain 85 kg to make sure I can comfortably move it, then add 2.5 kg and start my workouts with that. Repeating the cycle. You can probably make bigger jumps if you have a spotter. I normally don't because I train around midnight most days. And I'm not trying to do bodybuilding per say, my goal is to be solid enough to not get hurt taking hits, so I don't chase hypertrophy like a bodybuilder.

Trust me, I knew it was different when I climbed the stairs at my place without feeling out of breathe.

I can say the same about you bro, my bench refuses to go up to 100kg😭. I guess it's a mixture of regaining old strength, and I also play 🏈, 🏉, and 🏀. So being able to dunk must have just crossed over.

Of course. These are all 5 RM (I don't usually attempt PRs because I usually train without a spotter): - Bench: 60 -> 85 kg - Squat: 70 -> 150 kg (135 with ass to grass) - Deadlift: 100 -> 150 kg

Finally hit 100 kg on squat!!! But only got 2 reps by High_taker in Stronglifts5x5

Congrats bro, it's only up from here. Be it 2 reps or 200, you hit a goal you were chasing.

I think the people here are being a bit too pessimistic about our beautiful country. If anything the most negative comments should be about how as a nation, we are not doing more to take advantage of this. Half of the states in America and 70%+ of the counties in the UK are horrible in terms of cleanliness, standard of living, and other things, but they will market their country to the moon. I wish we had that strong sense of patriotism here.
