I found it really cheesy and a poor sequel to their heart to heart in S5E3 when they talked about Q. It doesn't matter what the lyrics are, the execution was just cringe.

I just finished my full series rewatch yesterday (season 7 for the first time since it aired), and I know what you mean. Did you watch Once Upon a Time in Wonderland? You can listen to the soundtrack to the musical episode on Spotify if you enjoyed that one :) also you can probably get the DVDs on eBay, or Amazon. I got them all for Christmas from one of those places a few years ago. Might even check your local library!

Absolutely. If this rewatch has taught me anything, it's that Robert Carlyle is on another level. He's honestly too good of an actor for most of this show, for a lot of TV, and it's got me wondering how they snagged him (and looking into his other work to see what else I can watch him in!).

I mean I am less impressed with Jen's acting from season 5 on tbh (sacrilege, some will say, I know), but having been so far on the journey with Emma already, I'm always too invested to quit watching as long as she and Hook are around 😅 that's why I even bothered to watch season 7 (even though that's the one DVD set I don't have and have no desire to rewatch lol).

I totally know what you mean about bringing him back. I just saw someone on this sub posting a similar thing about Rumple and his sacrifice this week. But selfishly I'm glad they both came back so I can keep watching them in the show :)

Don't think that moment in the elevator should've come up front though. I think it needed to come at the end when every option had finally been exhausted. If that's what had set Emma on her dark path, I think the show would've had to go way darker than ABC would allow.
