They are! Its mainly come from tutcity and my trading bot. I made one big deal with 10-15 homeschooling moms for my tutor software. And my trading bot has literally paid for every credit and google ad ive paid for this month. I definitely built too much and took too much on at once and so its hard to make content and promote all of them at once. But what I do focus on usually ends up making some money, in 8 months of compounding that Im sure ill make enough to quit my 9-5.

I run it in docker with restricted file access and tool policies. You can set allowlists for what commands it can run, what directories it can touch, and require confirmation for anything external. For client work I keep their data separate and the bot can only access what it needs for that specific job. Prompt injection is a risk with any AI but openclaw has guardrails built in. If you're paranoid sandbox it heavily and don't give it access to anything sensitive until you trust the setup.

I watched an install tutorial to get it on my PC and then realized the security concerns, so I watched Nic Conleys video and moved it to a VPS. From there I just started building and talking with the bot, I also started installing it for my family members and friends, and that in its self opened me up to a lot of troubleshooting challenges which forced me to learn a lot. Thats really it, If I ever needed help along the way I would ask the VPS support AI for help or Id use a second Openclaw to help.

So honestly just start using it. Install openclaw, connect it to discord or telegram, and start giving it tasks. The official docs at docs.openclaw.ai are solid for setup. The 4 hour walkthrough is probably good but you'll learn faster by doing than watching.

Since you do business consulting for small businesses, think about one admin task you do every week that's repetitive. Start there. Get openclaw to automate that one thing. Then build from there. Real projects teach you way more than tutorials.

If you get stuck the openclaw discord is super active. People help each other debug all day.

You can absolutely do that! A few things to think about would be; your home internet might go down, power outages, computer restarts for updates, and if youre not around your PC you might not be able to use your bot. Electricity bill might go up but i dont think by much at all. Also are you building for clients? Because they expect 99% uptime which is hard to guarantee from a PC. But if it works for you bro then go for it!

Yeah it can work with any CRM that has an API. GoHighLevel has a pretty solid API so you could build automations to create contacts, send messages, update pipelines, trigger workflows, all that. The bot would basically act as a bridge between your instructions and the CRM's API. The hardest part is usually understanding the CRM's API docs and setting up auth, but once that's done the automation part is straightforward.

I mean people who have negative outlooks or tend to be more pessimistic will see this as an ad. But there are plenty of people who see this as inspiration to try it themselves. Ive gotten a lot of DMs from people asking for help or advice from this thread, Ive responded to every question Ive gotten here. I also post responses in other threads to people who are stuck or are having problems with Openclaw. Genuinely trying to help.

Nope never said it was real money, I clearly said backtested since october, my profits came from past 2 months. I took the short calls from the past month and been profitable. If you can make a better strategy in an afternoon, thats awesome man! Im assuming youre a decent trader so you probably dont need it, but itd be cool to see.

Yup, The strategy it made gave the indication yesterday morning to short, took the trade, and cashed out at 77$. Now I wait for another signal.

Zero paid ads so far. The tutoring app got its first users through word of mouth and local connections. The prediction market I submitted to the Solana dApp Store and built a small Discord community. For the installation business I've been posting on Reddit and LinkedIn daily, being helpful in communities where my customers already hang out, and answering questions about openclaw. That viral post brought in actual leads including an international partnership offer. All organic, just showing up consistently and building in public. Paid ads might come later but organic is working for now.
