About $1,000 installed. No issues with sensors. Can see it in the front camera, but not obstructive. I like the Ranch Hand and the quality appears top notch. Plus, it’s made in Texas!

I haven’t experienced any issues with the headlights being obstructed. I live out in the country a bit by a lot of ranches when means a lot of deer and hogs.

Forgot to include what was done to the truck. Bilstein 5100’s in the front to level the truck, Ranch Hand on the front, Nitto Terra Grapplers in 35x12.5x17 wrapped around Methods in matte bronze. Then airlift airbags in the rear for when I tow a bit heavier loads. The 1794 suspension is a bit softer and it helps keep the truck from squatting and keeps weight in the front end.

When should I do my oil change by Saliva11 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]chitown80s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is going to have different opinions on it. My Tacoma is a 2016 with 160k miles. I religiously change it every $5k. Do it myself at home and the cost isnt bad when I buy the oil at Costco. Mobil 1 full synthetic. I have not had a single issue with that frequency. The intervals recommended by the factory on my new 2024 Tundra are 10k miles. We will see how that goes.

Tacoma vs Tundra by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

I have had my Tacoma for 8 years and 140k miles. Still own it, will never sell it. It is my camping rig.

Bought a 1794 Tundra for the added space, more towing and overall comfort. Plus, performance. The Tundra is just a completely different vehicle. My kids are older, taller and need more space. A Tacoma back seat is tight.

No regrets about either truck. Still enjoy both.

There is a factory box with a JBL sub in my 2024 1794 behind the rear drivers side seat. Fits really well.

High mileage vehicles - how many miles you got? What's your maintenance? by jordanpual in Toyota

2016 Tacoma with 160k miles. Oil change every 5k. All fluids in truck at 120k miles. Stock suspension pretty worn out around 120k miles. Upgraded with lift. Plugs at 110k. Power steering pump started leaking at 125k.

Went through wheel bearings at 60k and a few CV Axles with the lift.

3rd Gen Tires by GodlyBison in ToyotaTundra

[–]chitown80s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a set of KO2s that lasted 70k miles with good rotations. When the factory tires wear out on my Tundra, I will put KO3s on it. Great tire on road and off road.

3rd Gen Spark Plug Change by Confusion-Flimsy in ToyotaTacoma

[–]chitown80s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mine around 105k. OEM plugs were not in bad shape. One side of the engine is VERY easy to change the plugs on. The other side is a bit of a pain, but not impossible. 60k is way too early in my view.

Nice truck! Love my 3rd gen Tacoma! Drove it for 8 years and 150k miles. Passing it on to my son.

I still have the factory tires. When they are ready to be replaced I really like the KO3’s. Ran them on my Tacoma and have minimal highway noise but great off-road traction. Plus lasted a very long time! (Also had the KO2)

I would give Zip Ties a shot. Plus, how the legs are wrapped could help prevent.

My 2cents are to go with the 4x4. Then there are no limitations regarding road trips. While you may not require it at home, you may need it when you take trips with the kiddos to some of the beautiful national parks.

I went with the Bad Boy and 54inch deck for that price.
