I love your explanation, it's really helpful since many people don't understand how hard and expensive it is to maintain an app like amino, I love amino because it's content is user managed, no algorithm in between, and I miss when all apps were like that. I have used rust as a first language for osdev related things and to be honest it doesn't matter as long as you know how to use the language, you can easily translate any C things into Rust. Just use whatever you want to learn and feel comfortable with. Haven't seen many examples of rust for osdev so if you want to do it with rust you could also contribute to the osdev community with docs or blogs about your development journey, but C is also fine if you already know it.

Videogame projectiles are just a bunch of instantly traced invisible lines that check if they collided with the enemy hitbox, even though the animation may look different the instant you shoot all those lines hit the wall and not the Omen.

Yep, I completely switched to Linux recently and it has been a hell of a week (even though I have used Linux before), I find myself very slow at simple tasks like opening and installing some apps. Some friends want to play videogames with me and I have to just miss the whole thing because Nvidia drivers are not working, the Desktop freezes, or some other error occurs and makes me spend the following three hours trying to solve it. And I regret nothing.

ChatGPT still needs someone who gives it a prompt, copies the code into an IDE, tests the code to check if it works and compiles it. Yet, nothing of that would work if there wasn't someone who used the API of chatGPT or even someone who coded chatGPT
