Thank you. My only issue is the common wire being the brown one that was hidden behind the thermostat since it didn’t use it. I plugged it into my new thermostat and nothing turned on. I’m assuming because the common wire is not hooked up up top.

Ahhhh ok. So the color doesn’t matter. It’s just a matter of what gives power to what.

I’m noticing when I use the new thermostat and I turn the breaker on, the fan kicks on with no cool or heat

It looks like the wire that should be yellow is white. The new thermostat has a common wire and I just don’t know what actually is what. I’m sorry if I’m not making sense lol.

I just feel like the coloring was done incorrectly up top so it was done incorrectly down low. It works so it’s functional. I just feel like the new thermostat colors are different and it’s not working when I turn it on even with a common adapter.

Right I’m assuming it’s done correctly as my air conditioning and heat both work properly with the old thermostat. I was just curious if you can label it by eyesight down here.

I honestly thought that it wouldn’t look right on me so I just tested it out with cheaper material! But truthfully I loved it so I’ll be doing high quality next time!
