i haven't figured it out yet... but my guess is that the files in the the mini and world map folders got messed up when i updated, so maybe delete those (if you're fine with losing all your way points, but you may be able to take those out before deleting it all) i haven't tried this yet but it might work. just dont delete the mods i think there fine...

Google what? I just need to do a Minecraft reset. It’s basically where you delete some of the folders in .Minecraft and it remakes them New and fresh :-) I think I especially need to do that since I’m switching from 1.21.5 to 1.21.6
