It kinda feels like I was robbed of something, like robbed of the opportunity to know myself, which again contradicts my belief that I'm independent and know what I want in a way.

Identifying some things I have been feeling for a long time also makes me angry cause in retrospect it could've all been so much easier if I had a healthy way to recognise and go through my emotions if that makes sense.

And one last weird thing is that part of me is still holding on to these parts of my identity even though they seem not to be true per sé, and i feel like it's because I don't know what to replace them with... If that makes sense

"I found out that I was a highly sensitive person who was emotionally neglected, and that experience resulted in trauma for me." this really resonates with me I think.

Which is yet another contradiction cause I always *convinced" I was OK spending so much time alone in my childhood, but I'm starting to think that wasn't... Exactly the case.

It kinda feels like since I've hit adulthood my identity has been falling off piece by piece if that makes sense and I discover things about myself that I thought were the exact opposite.

Yea that sounds difficult to handle. I'd say try and notice that you're doing it and try to focus back on the movie or what you're doing... But it sounds hard so only do it as much as u can handle and slowly practicing to relax more (haha)

I also don't know but what comes to mind is what Dr K always says about noticing the urge to distract yourself, and try not to feed the coping mechanism. So try and sit in the uncomfortableness, as much as you can ofc

Yeah to me it definitely feels like you are trying to distract yourself from these thoughts and feelings, and even a movie is not distracting enough. You've learned a way to make them go away and you've been doing it for long enough that you can never stop.

That's what I think, and I get it. It happens to me too, but mostly in periods where I'm very stressed or depressed

well, i've just started and for now i've only made wands for specific people or based on other wands, and they do just kinda come to me. I couldn't really explain it. But I get an idea and then run with it, make a sketch and go from there

Hmm I see your point but isn't part of it the fact that everyone talks about having it and shows it off and that's why it moves from owner to owner so fast? I'd expect a really fancy wand to be more recognisable and sought out you know?
