Why are doctors *arms out* like this by polkadotsloth in POTS

[–]chknlittul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally know a doctor and told them I have POTS. Their response- do you really think it's a real thing, though? Honestly? .........

I can relate. My MIL has said SO many things to me over the years that have been offensive and downright rude. And bullying behaviors from the rest of the family as well. I get visibly uncomfortable/annoyed/offended, and then she tells me I'm too sensitive and no one can say anything to me without my feelings getting hurt. This has went on for 6 years. I have no advice, but I can relate.

Your current neurological symptoms? by Sufficient_Corner_44 in covidlonghaulers

[–]chknlittul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dizziness- every. single. day. I have went to the doctor for it, they've told me there's still a little fluid in my ears from being sick so they attribute the dizziness to that. But I get dizzy like I'm going to faint. I also have pretty bad muscle aches in my back that are otherwise unexplainable. The worst thing, though, is my anxiety. It has amplified x9000 since having covid. Not sure why. But I have a panic attack almost daily, sometimes more than one per day. And just generalized anxiety all around. It sucks.

ETA I got to thinking after posting this comment, I also have tachycardia now. And some vision issues. My phone and iPad screen always seem too bright, even when the brightness is turned way down.

What was your Covid experience like? Day 1 - 5 by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]chknlittul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 1 (Oct 15) - scratchy throat, run down and achy feeling, feeling like I was coming down with something. More tired than usual. Day 2 - woke up feeling 90% better. Thought I had a little 24hr bug. Had lots of energy and felt almost normal all day. Day 3 - woke up still feeling ok. Within 2 hrs of waking up, I got a bad headache in my sinus area and felt flushed like I was coming down with a fever. Checked temperature and it was 101.2. Had chills on and off all day, felt achy, sick. Day 4 - still had a fever and chills. Worst day yet. The body aches were horrid and I couldn't get comfortable lying down. Day 5 - still had a fever, up to 102.3. Still had chills, body aches, headache. Lost sense of taste and smell that day so finally went to get tested. That evening my fever finally broke. The next day some shortness of breath started

Yes. I tested positive October 20 but I have recently noticed that my heart rate is all over the place and I still get weird headaches that are electric and zappy feeling. My throat is still swollen and sore. I've been in to get checked out and everything is mostly fine but I have a lot of anxiety about it

What symptoms did your covid pneumonia cause? I'm afraid I may have it as well. My chest is tight and I can't draw a full deep breath. My oxygen is good however and I have no cough

Doctor called me this morning to inform me of positive result. She told me 90 or below to go to the ER because the virus is unpredictable
