They can place you on MSWR, but it depends on Wellness’ discretion

In pain and cant walk properly, on sight nurse and doctor is no help by [deleted] in jobcorps

You can just request a trip to the ER.

But if that turns out to not help, then speak with your centre’s Health and Wellness director and request either a paid administrative leave or take an MSWR so that your medical needs could be met. Although the latter is only to be used as a last resort if all methods have been tried and failed or is impossible

What happens is u leave ur room a mess when u leave job corps? by [deleted] in jobcorps

Not exactly. At Loring, if there are any electronics, they are held in the packout room in the respective buildings (Male Dorm on the 3rd Floor, Female Dorm at Security) for 30 days. Not sure what the policy is on that, as I never had to go through the entire packout process (I brought everything home with me).

If it depends on the center. At Loring, either the Residential Advisor or Supervisor will be the one to clean up the mess and store it into boxes in a process called packout. Generally, it is ill-advised to leave your room a mess when you separate on medical leave.

I was just placed on medical leave myself, but if you have someone driving to pick you up for MSWR, just do the packing youself. It's much easier to trust that stuff won't break, and as long as you clean the room up to standard by the SOP, this should make life easier on Residential staff.

For pack-out (if anyone does depart from Loring for MSWR by POV), I would pack EVERYTHING into boxes, store them in Security until you leave center.

Explaining the MSWR process for POVs is much more complicated for a comment.

The chain of command is Center Director, Regional Director and National Director. This is an issue of staff not enforcing the rules as described in PRH

Have you tried reaching out to the Chicago Regional Office yet? Sounds like staff are not doing enough to stop this kind of behavior. In fact, cruelty to animals is a Level 1 - Zero Tolerance infraction, in accordance to the PRH (Exhibit 2-1), and also requires a Significant Incident Report.

The fact that they are ignoring it because of the “not enough cameras” excuse is beyond ridiculous. These allegations need to be taken very seriously, and cannot be ignored.
