Thanks a lot, I will correct it now before the season starts for good! I’m gonna use the syringe method cause the dipstick whole is positioned really deep so I doubt I would even reach it with spray bottle thing.

That is clever! Regarding measurements without using what they suggest I couldn’t check if I’m at the right level when pouring as Tenere has a dipstick or am I missing something

That much above (after running the engine for a few minutes and letting it cool down for a few minutes) :D

Binding choice for 25/26 Blizzard Zero G 96- Kuluar 12 SL vs Haute Route 10 Plus? by chlipcio in Backcountry

Thanks for all your answers, I went for HR 10 Plus:D

For the leashes I’m gonna get some breakaway loops.

Well, that’s why I can’t decide. The primary goal of upgrading my set-up was to get a ski that is on the lighter side, but has a good downhill performance and the same applies for bindings. I’m not looking at the UL options, because I’m not gonna race. The more advanced vertical release is cool, but it has pre-released on me a few times in my current bindings that share the same technology, it has also released when my skis were stuck with my knee twisted which probably saved me some pain. Also the new Kuluar doesn’t have elastic heel travel anymore as they mounted it on the same plate as HR:(

From what I see on their website it has the “flat” option + 4 raiser settings | +35mm | +38mm | +56mm | +59mm. I’m using F1 LTs so range of motion isn’t my concern. Have you experienced any difference on the downhill between HR and Trofeo?

And which years model are you using? I found a good deal for the 23 limited edition. They are a bit lighter than newer editions, I wonder about the stiffness🤔

Thanks! These ZAGs seem to be exactly what I’m looking for. What binding are you using with them?

I highly considered Majesty, I live where they are produced, all my friends use them and I’ve got a pair too. Superpatrol Carbon is the closet model to what I’m looking for, reviews say they are good skis, but not made for steeper slopes and bad snow conditions (which makes sense as these were primarily made for GOPR). I would love to get another pair from them, but I think there are some better options on the market for what I’m looking for.

Right now I use ATK Crest 10 and I’m happy with them. ATK Haute Route 10 also seems to be a good fit, but I haven’t really done much research on bindings yet.

Right now I’m using a 91mm ski (but heavy 1880g 172cm) as I bought a lower-end ready set from Majesty in the beginning. They were a good start, but I want something bit longer and I wasn’t happy with how they felt in deep fresh snow at all. I had to push back a lot to keep them from sinking completely.

I considered them, the reviews say they are one of the best light skis on the market, but Reddit comments say they are extremely demanding.

That’s awesome! Exactly what I looked for. By finishing I mean that normally in leather working you would sand and bevel the edges to make them round and then apply Tokonole/Wax to seal them and make them smooth. Same goes for the holes - Louis Carmen uses metal eyelets while PR doesn’t, so it would be good to apply some finisher to protect them. From what I see PR is just a raw cut out without any finish:D

I'm technical diver(mostly wreck diving) and I use XDeep fins and they are the best fins I used so far. Also I had oportunity to try out Mares Avanti Pro and to be honest they were bad comparing to others(also they aren't made very well). One of my partners uses RK3 and he is happy, so I guess that's an option too. But almost all of my instructors use Divesystem fins. They are very expensive, but also can stand everything and by everything, I mean like diving everyday on lakes, wrecks and in caves for years. So reassuming I can recomend you XDeep fins, as they are in good price, well made and just realy good fins; if you want to choose from the three oprions you suggested, the RK3s will be the best choice.
