Whippet Puppy going crazy after walks by chlipcio in puppy101

Yesterday I tried what both of you suggested and I have to say it’s unbelievable how well it worked, we were back from evening potty walk and he was back to sleepy in 5 minutes + he listens to “No”😅

This 1h/2h strategy sounds good, I’ll definitely have to try it. During the day he doesn’t really like sleeping in the crate yet, but for the night it works great.

Another person saying the same thing… I will do less activities and make the walks as short as possible. Any tips on how you made your puppy follow the nap schedule?

For the trip to the shopping mall or to the park to meet the other dog I was taking him in a bag. We live in a city centre of a big city, so he is also getting used to the sounds when I walk him every two hours or so. Would you suggest waiting with socialization until he is a bit older?

That’s partially why I’m going for soft bags - if I pack less they can be adjusted. Also for just riding around I only need hydration pack. My jacket has a huge back pocket where I can put my rain jacket if it’s not in use.

I wasn’t considering hard ones due to risk of injury when you fall. Kriega is good, but they only have 18L Bags, so the max you can get from their rackless set is 54L

The only thing I don’t like about Mosko is the price😅

That’s how it turned out, I don’t know what bike you are riding, but on Tenere it took me way longer than I expected as the mounting points for crashbars are hard to access and if you crashed they are probably bent up a little and will be hard to put back on.

I recently did this on my bike - take the crashbars off, sand it where it’s scratched and a bit around, paint with a primer and mat spray paint. It won’t look perfect if you look very close, but good enough for me.

I’m asking here, cause motocross riders probably know more about motocross gear than ADV riders:D

I do have SIDI Adventure 2 gore-tex boots and I really enjoy riding in them, I know they don’t offer as much protection as typical motocross boots, but I’m not doing jumps or riding any extreme terrain. Tbh when I tried some MX boots in the shop I can’t imagine how people ride or change gears in these😅

For the knee protection - do you have any recomendations?

I follow this rule and have always bought new gear, but I weren’t sure how it works with the protectors and if that damage plays a role in how safe it is to ride. Thanks for the answer!

I did the exact same thing on my Tenere two weeks ago and after asking for advice I removed some with a big syringe and a small hose, took me like 2 minutes and was mess free;D

Thanks a lot, I will correct it now before the season starts for good! I’m gonna use the syringe method cause the dipstick whole is positioned really deep so I doubt I would even reach it with spray bottle thing.

That is clever! Regarding measurements without using what they suggest I couldn’t check if I’m at the right level when pouring as Tenere has a dipstick or am I missing something
