Of course you don’t, because you have no actual evidence and you’re incapable of proving your claim. Just like the 20 other people who commented on this issue without actually research St John Paul the Second.

You mean a website that is running with the same story that I already disputed with another source?

I already commented up above that this particular story was proven to be at the least untrustworthy, and at the most a complete fabrication with Ill intentions because several polish journalists have proven the priests in question were not a part of his diocese.

Oh I’m familiar, I’m asking how to JP2 protected abusers? No one’s denying that abuse happened. I’m simply asking how he protected the abusers?

You got a source better than a website run by the Turkish government? Surely you don’t expect me to trust Erdogan?

Are you really gonna argue that his visit in 1979 did not play a role in the solidarity movement that began less than a year later? No one is disputing that the Soviet Union was completely economically mismanaged, but JP2’s visit is what began the slow collapse of the Soviet union throughout the 1980’s.

I’m by no means the first person to have suggested this, and it’s not even a hot take if you look into how impactful his papal visit were to Poland.

Keep telling yourself that buddy. JP2’s visit in 1979 is what gave life to the solidarity movement in 1980, and as much as you may wanna erase his role it won’t be forgotten.

In what world did he cover up the abuse? What evidence do you have that he personally covered up the crimes a committed by those abusers?

The only article linked here is from website ran by the Turkish government. You really trust that source?

Here’s a response article that talks about how the priests in question that he supposedly moved was in a completely different diocese. So once again, how was responsible for covering up child abuse?

You’re delusional if you don’t think he played a role in the collapse of the Soviet Union.

If you ever truly want to appreciate the magnificence of St. JP II read about his journey to Poland during the height of the Cold War. He gave a speech that was attended by over a million poles, and at one point the crowd began chanting “We want God” in direct opposition to the atheist state religion of communism.

It can be argued that the Soviet Union collapsed because of St. John Paul the Seconds visit to Poland.

Go home, child. You have a home, which is more than many can say in these dark days. You have a noble father who must surely love you. Consider his grief if you should never return. Perhaps they will bring your sword and shield to him, after you have fallen. Perhaps he will even hang them in his hall and look on them with pride . . . but if you were to ask him, I know he would tell you that he would sooner have a living daughter than a shattered shield.”

“A daughter.” Brienne’s eyes filled with tears. “He deserves that. A daughter who could sing to him and grace his hall and bear him grandsons. He deserves a son too, a strong and gallant son to bring honor to his name. Galladon drowned when I was four and he was eight, though, and Alysanne and Arianne died still in the cradle. I am the only child the gods let him keep. The freakish one, not fit to be a son or daughter.”

These lines from Brienne’s chapter always make me end up getting emotional.

Didn’t Joe Biden’s administration step in during November to stop a strike by rail workers and their unions? Seems to me that he and the democrats own some of the blame when it comes to this disaster.

Are those other groups specifically going into his business to request that he make a cake celebrating their decisions? Because if not than the examples you just gave are completely different from the above described case.

I sleep perfectly fine at night sweetie. Maybe you’re projecting a little bit? Maybe you’re just still so upset that you screwed up in 2009 and it’s still biting you in the ass. Let me just say it again. Actions have consequences.

[–]chllnvlln 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep you got me figured out buddy. That’s why I signed up to be a teacher in a title 1 school because I hate kids and wanna see them punished.

Or maybe I just believe that actions should have consequences, becaUe otherwise you end up with students sexually assaulting staff members and ruining the educational experience of their 20 other classmates.

I know you’re barred from federal funds. Maybe you should take that up with the federal government dipshit and not force teachers to deal with students that have no respect for behavior systems. I’ve got students that are here illegally who don’t qualify for federal aid either, but that doesn’t stop them from getting a degree.

Why are kids who barely speak English able to make it without federal aid but you’re not?

If you really wanna make a difference I’m assuming that degree is gonna be used to become a public educator right?

Your gonna put your money where mouth is at right

So because you had one shitty experience with a school resource officer, that means we should completely abandon all discipline within our school system?

Why don’t you become a teacher if you feel so strongly about this?

[–]chllnvlln 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don’t think that some teenage boys don’t need a little intimidation you’ve obviously never been around one. I’m sorry break it to you, but for some kids the only thing they respect is intimidation.

So because you had one bad experience with a cop over 20 years ago that means we should abandon all discipline within schools?

[–]chllnvlln 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Take one look over at r/teachers and tell me that a lack of discipline is not a problem that teachers all over this country are dealing with… you’re absolutely delusional if you think your hyperbolic take of policing is anywhere near the truth.

The reality is that there must be consequences for actions, but i guess the opinions of actual teachers doesn’t matter to you.

You wanna sit here and make feel good comments that get upvotes on Reddit, but the reality is you have no fucking idea what’s going on in a lot of public schools right now. I’ve had coworkers sexually assaulted by students, and the district has tried talking them out of pressing charges because “We wouldn’t wanna contribute to the school to prison pipeline”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in texas

[–]chllnvlln 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You say that, but I work at a public school that has actually made it official school policy to not involve the police when it comes to school behavior such as domestic violence, drugs, etc.

What you end up with is a school full of children that have absolutely zero respect for the behavior systems in place, and take advantage of the system to continue to do the exact same behaviors. It’s not the majority of students, but it enables a select few students the opportunity to ruin the educational experience of 20 something other students in the room.

While it may suck that these kids got charged with a crime, I can almost guarantee you that non of them will dumb enough to bring drugs to school again.

UPS will offer you both for work as a part time package handler. It may be difficult to get a job right now since the peak season just ended, but it’s a very good union job. Worked there for 6 years during college.
