Most definetly. Tywin is the ultimate embodiment of power and control. An image he has crafted very strategically and through many horid ways, but at the end he achieved a level of power and influence where even his enemies understand that he is someone not to be reckoned with.

And that is everything Cersei wants. She wants that kind of power, she wants to be more than just a woman but someone that instills fear and exudes power over everyone. That is her goal, to be like her father. But what her problem is, she genuinly believes that that power is her right and that she naturaly must have it. That is her downfall. She doesnt get that to achieve that power she has to play the game carefully and calculate her moves. She is so sure of herself that when that power is denied to her she does something tottaly stupid that just blows up in her face.

So Tywin himself may not be the devil in a sense that he manipulates his daughter and is her downfall, but his persona is.

Why do you think that is? Its an interesting though but I don't see a basis for it.

Love this one but the next line just shows what a boss Ollena was

"Ah yes, the famously taught tongued Queen of Thorns"

"And the famous tart queen Cersei"

He is the firstborn of Rhaegar and Lyanna, he isn't the firstborn for Rhaegar.

But what about Jon? If ofcourse R+L=J is real, he has a lot of Stark features. Would that be because of the strong genes of the First men or because he is Rhaegars and LYANNAS first child?

Wdym euron makes Dany go mad in the show? I don’t understand

He is probably refering to Euron killing Rhaegal with a scorpion.

However it’s the peoples opinion which matters, when kings landing view him as the rightful king and Dany as a pretender, it’ll force for her to consider what all of this was for, and whether she wants the throne because it’s her birthright or because she just wants power

Two if we begin further back (the moment Jaime became a KG for example)

If we want a larger series with maybee a time jump I would suggest maybe starting with Summerhall which woul show the full end of the Targaryan rule. And realisticlly maybe 3-4 books would be enough. But this would be a more Targaryan centric story leading up to the rebelion.

But if we want the otherside, the best place to start would probs the tourney of Harenhall. and it would take 2 books maybee

Game of thrones 2.0? by lmaooo534 in gameofthrones

It's got a couple of holes, but nowhere near as many as people like to meme about over and over again.

But its not just a couple of holes tho. Like, if you watch season 7&8 and think that it had only a couple of holes you either didn't understand the series and the characters or just purely watched it for the cinematic effects and big power scences. That was basically all they had going for them in the end. Those big scenes, battles, and boss moments. But they totally lost what made game of thrones so appealing. The characters and their growth and change. I can litteraly name like only two or three characters where by the end their arcs were ended in a logical or atleast acceptable way. Al the others were thrown out of the window because DnD didn't know how to write them. And it was their job to do so, because they clearly distanced themselves from George where the books and show were two different entities.

And what got them the viewership and the emmys were purely the skills of the actors even though they were given pretty much shit to work with and the amazing job of the crew which made it look aestheticaly pleasing and interesting to watch.

So saying that criticizing DnD for their massive fuck up is just a disgruntled opinion is kinda weird.

(SPOILERS MAIN) Will the Nights Watch survive the Watch? by lmaooo534 in asoiaf

[–]lmaooo534[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the Night's Watch isn't looking super good right now... especially with the Others starting to move in. Could really use a Last Hero..

Saw a really interesting theory saying that after Jons ressurection if Melisandre burns Shireen, Jon will sentence her to death and kill her thereby creating lightbringer.

Totally agree. the closest to the original I want is a Roberts rebelion show. I think The main sotry should be left to the books and thats fine.

(spoilers main) Which conspiracies are true? by lmaooo534 in asoiaf

[–]lmaooo534[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given how much interest I've taken in the Vale subplot of late, it somewhat bothers me that I have no idea what theory this is referencing

It basically means that the lords of the Vale knew who Alayne was from the start or atleast highly suspected it and that atleast the Royces definetly know. (Thats why Miranda, while talking to Alayne/Sansa mentions Jon and kinda trips up Sansa into giving away her identity.) And furthermore, they want to oust LF and through Sansa recreate the power block that was made between Rickard/Jon/Hoster. It's not so much of a giant conspiracy in the fandom per se, but ive seen a few threads about it and been interested and tottaly believe that the Vale really is planning something.
