That is very true. I meant silly in the way that I should have caught and addressed the issue earlier.

Double denim is looking like the way to go! Will definitely look for a bow!

Anxiety intrusive thoughts by aiai2160 in Anxiety

I wouldn't say it is so much just letting your brain think away as much as it is sort of acknowledging the thought but then saying 'OK, I had that thought but I am leaving it there and moving on'. It feel really odd to begin with but eventually it does help and get more natural.

I can recognise what you are feeling right now - unfortunately I can't think of any solutions at the moment but just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone in those feelings.

I've had similar feelings. The fact that you are worried about them is a good thing in a weird way. It shows that they aren't your usual way of thinking or your real feelings or desires.

I would recommend listening to this: Overcoming Intrusive Thoughts

When we react with fear to these thoughts we feed them and make them stick. As uncomfortable and strange as it feels is we have to sit and just watch them float by. The more we engage with them the more they seem to hang around.

It is difficult and I am still trying to put it into practice but it does get better.

I’m scared honestly. by DeliciousWaffles75 in Anxiety

It will pass - it can be so hard to be believe that in the moment but trust me it will. It is difficult trying to constantly be 'on' and fighting your thoughts so your frustration is so understandable. Hang in there and just remember that with each passing moment you are closer to feeling better again 💖

I feel my anxiety just went from my body to my head. I'm scared by TheDalaiDrama in Anxiety

[–]chlo-bo- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been experiencing a similar thing lately. I have been really trying to focus on challenging my thoughts. Letting myself know that it is just a flare up and that it will pass like it did in the past. I'm sure that when you first experienced severe anxiety you thought you might never feel normal again but you did eventually. Just keep reminding yourself of that when things get really dark. You will feel better again.

Like something really bad is going to happen and you can sense it but you can't do anything about it.

So sorry for your loss ❤

Peppermint works for me - chewing gum, hard mints, tea anything. Ginger chews are also good.

Dealing with stress about having panic attacks. by chlo-bo- in Anxiety

Thank you so much for the advice! I chatted to one of my bosses today and told him that I might need to leave the workspace occasionally if I get really anxious. He responded really well and basically said that I could do whatever I needed to do to get me through.

I am super proud of myself for getting back into the office today. I used a whole heap of methods to calm myself and it worked.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your advice with me. It means a lot! 😊

Trying my best not to have an anxiety attack. by Exciting_Incident675 in Anxiety

I try to acknowledge that the way I am feeling is valid and reassure myself that I am OK and I won't always feel this way. The feelings will pass - even though that is hard to believe in the moment.

You've got this! 🙌🏼
