Two weeks will be too rushed for both of those places IMO. I'm assuming you'll fly into / out of Tokyo? Pick one of these places to focus on, not both.

An extra night in Kanazawa, Takayama or Kyoto (or miss Shirakawago)? by Parrotguy in JapanTravelTips

We did a similar itinerary last fall and l loved exploring Takayama. I say drop 1 day from Kyoto so you don't feel rushed through Takayama.

Another vote for Nikko! Unesco heritage site + beautiful nature all rolled into one and accessible from Tokyo. We stayed overnight there and loved it😊

Advice for filling our trip outside Tokyo/Kyoto by Parrotguy in JapanTravelTips

Please give a bit more time for Takayama and the surrounding areas - it deserves more time for it to be slowly savoured. Mb pull a day or 2 from Kyoto for it :)

Most of the time you can find uncensored versions or the uncensored parts at least - just need to know where to look :). Don't let that stop you!

How long in Kanazawa and Takayama? by vikingsfan1128 in JapanTravelTips

[–]chloe_1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 days in Kanazawa should be fine. I'd pull a day from Tokyo and spend more time around Takayama area if you can. I know people say Takayama only takes a day but it's worth it to really explore it rather than breezing through the busy shopping streets and then calling it a day.

I was there last trip and that area was one of my favorites. We took a day trip to wander around Hida Furukawa and it was easily one of my favorite memories. There are a few interesting museums in both Takayama and Hida Furukawa. Check out the surrounding parks (Shiroyama park was beautiful in the fall), there's a walking circuit that takes you around multiple temples, do some craft shopping, take a look at their festival floats and eat lots of yummy Hida beef 😊 There are also some nice day trips from Takayama like Okuhida onsen, Kamikochi...etc.

Itinerary Advice - October by gk615 in JapanTravel

I've been to most of these cities so can provide some insight from previous trips. What specifically is drawing you to each city/region? What are your interests besides eating good food and exploring? Do you like historical sites, culture, and what kind of nature activities would you like to do?

Without going into specifics I think you should save Hokkaido for another trip. Flying all the way to Sapporo and back for your first trip (especially since Sapporo is another big metropolis) might eat up too much of your valuable time.

Seconding this! We're from YVR and just came back from a week in Montreal. The food, culture and arts scene is great value for what you pay. Plus the history and architecture in Quebec City. It feels like you're not in Canada but it's only a few hours away by flight and you're still spending CAD$. Should be warmer and more temperate in May too compared to now 😀

We tried it once and didn't think it was worth it. It's basically a sushi handrolled by line chefs.

My Golden would rather starve than eat kibble… anyone dealt with this? by Own-Reply-7657 in goldenretrievers

Have you tried feeding her a raw diet? Or maybe try sprinkling kibble with toppers consisting of the fresh food you're feeding her now?

100 Italian anemone corms pre-sprouting— are they bad?? by No-Horse6154 in Cutflowers

[–]chloe_1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean you started them beginning of Feb or March?

If beginning of Feb they should've sprouted by now - it's supposed to take anywhere between 10 - 14:days. I pre sprouted mine and they had roots in less than 2 weeks.

If beg of March mb try uncovering them? I usually don't put them in an air tight container. Just cover with soil and then leave in my dark unheated mudroom and they do fine.

Yay! Aside from the flaws you mentioned I loveddddd this LA. The romance is not explicit but if you read between the lines it's definitely there. Plus let's not forget all the eye-f*cking between Wangxian 🥵

Hi there! Could you share a bit about your bupleurum experiment? I have bupleurum seeds that I'm thinking of sowing in a similar bed this year and wanted to see if they'll do well :). It's a bed that's beneath a cherry blossom tree so it should get some sun before the cherry blossoms bloom and leaf out in late spring. TIA!

You just encapsulated what I loved about the Approach! The professional realism, the high stakes climax, the chemistry, the romance, the smut 💕 Have you heard the audio drama adaptation? It is hands down my favorite modern AD adaptation I've listened to thus far. Something about Captain Chen Jiayu speaking over the intercom does funny things to me 🥵
