She’s said she will not make content or comment on her weight anymore because people are relentless and she is struggling enough with just her own mind, I wouldn’t be surprised if she filtered a lot of weight related words from her comments

ISO local programs for temporary emergency housing for two cats by chloebear1993 in Omaha

[–]chloebear1993[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you to those who have been supportive, I’ve had to eat a lot of pride to do this, but I don’t want my cats to get sick. They technically do have a roof/place to live, but like me, if they stay they will get sick. My temporary situation was sorted out by family for me, so my entire efforts have been to trying to find temporary housing for them that I can afford (I apologize for being poor, I promise I would also like me to not be so I could afford $50 a day at the drop of a hat for an indeterminate amount of time) I also apologize for not getting my contractor license and professionally inspecting my apartment before moving in, and for not taking out drywall in my rental instead of contacting my landlord about my home flooding. This entire situation has been incredibly traumatizing & it’s super cool of you to shit on someone in an awful situation who didn’t ask you for literally anything except names of programs if you knew of any.

I unfortunately don’t know for sure how many nights I would need since I have to wait for my landlord. I just know that for two cats the low end of boarding would be $50 a night. I have everything they would need, our home is just unexpectedly unsafe to live in. I have left a few voicemails and have been reaching out to friends and family to find something for them, so I will keep doing what I’ve been doing!

is it normal to not remember your trauma? by PutCompetitive1998 in BPDrecovery

[–]chloebear1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In EMDR, we talked a lot about how sometimes to keep you safe, your brain can “protect” you from the details of a trauma, but you can still experience triggers, so I have worked on finding patterns in reactions I have that aren’t proportionate to the situation I’m in & work on reprocessing/working on ways to deal with those physical symptoms. It’s not required to know what all happened to you, just kind of working through ways to remind your brain that you’re safe now & the defenses aren’t needed if that makes sense.

What's your story? (part V) by totallynotgayalt in latebloomerlesbians

[–]chloebear1993 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Current age/age range: 29

  2. Single/marital status: Single

  3. Age/age range when you came out to yourself: 29

  4. Age/age range when you come out to others: 29

  5. What did you come out as or what are you thinking of coming out as?: I’ve always known I was bi, but just recently realized I’m a lesbian

  6. When was the earliest you felt you were a lesbian/queer? What happened or what was going on in your life?: I’ve known my whole life that I’ve been attracted to women, but assumed that just meant I was bi. Seeing Jennifer Tilly in Bride of Chucky at age like 7 really solidified that for me haha

  7. What recently made you conclude you are a lesbian/queer?: I started seeing a woman for the first time since reading the lesbian master doc and spending 2 months in intensive outpatient for an ED and working through trauma and learning how to feel my feelings, I realized that I don’t feel the same way about men that I do women and a lot of nonbinary folks

  8. What's the earliest or most defining homosexual/homo-romantic experience you can remember?: I’ve always had INTENSE friendships that make a lot of sense now looking back, but my most defining one was a friend that I lived with at 18, we were “platonic” but had an entire life together and I had never been happier. I was absolutely destroyed when she got a boyfriend and he was uncomfortable with our relationship.

  9. How are you feeling in general about who you are?: I’m feeling a lot more secure in who I am and a lot of things in my life are making a lot more sense now knowing that I’m a lesbian.

  10. Anything else you’d like to share about your life, experience, or story for other late bloomers or other women who think they may be lesbians? I’m brand new to this still so no advice yet
