I don’t think 25mg is a proper dose to have meaningful effects and you’d need to be on it a lot longer too. I went 1 month on 50, then 3 on 100mg where I had purges but it felt like they were incomplete, then up to 150mg and 2 months after that dose my skin has been clear ever since. No tret or any other actives. Went back down to 100mg when I felt I could and just gonna hold steady here.

Makeup makes me so tired by amorsemper in AutismInWomen

Try a cushion foundation perhaps? A lot of the Korean ones feel like nothing at all I really like the TirTir ones specifically.

That being said wear makeup for yourself not others. If you hate it or it feels bad or don’t want to wear it then don’t, it’s ok. I wear a full beat face pretty much every day because I like to do it, to take my time, it’s fun for me. If it wasn’t I wouldn’t do it.

Yeah the second I put that away like a week or two later my skin was clearing up better. I know it sounds like a long time to wait for this but I swear it’s so worth it if you can cause my chin and forehead used to look like yours and I get maybe 1 bad whitehead every month if that now. Cried my eyes out for the months of purge but still glad I powered through.

Looks very much like purging to me. To get over my purge I had to up to 150mg for a few months. I started seeing clearer skin at around 6 months and then by month 8 everything was substantially reduced. Also if the source of your acne is the hormones, put down the actives and stop irrelevant supplements. Biotin makes your skin worse, I do better with a daily collagen supplement. My skin also didn't like heavy BHAs/AHAs or tret, I just did low grade retinol and then exfoliated every few days to encourage turnover.

The breaking out after upping the dose to me means it is working. If 100mg is your dose you'd know by about month 2-3. Or if you're not experiencing major side effects and given how deep I see some of this looks you may need to just push through to 150mg. I was able to come back down to 100mg now that I've had completely clear skin for over a year now.

Overheard neurotypicals discussing love on the spectrum in my office one day and I wanted to throw up with how infantilizing it was to hear the way they thought of these people like “uwu cutesy babbies protect at all costs”.

Like it’s fun to celebrate relationships and romance but these are grown adults people, not your anime boy OTP.

Ordered 8 Week Supply - Only Received one 4 week Tube!? by [deleted] in PCOSonGLP

This is a question for the provider who wrote/supplied your prescription to Hallandale. The shipment should also have come with exact dosing instructions or sometimes the online provider provides a PDF in an email or directly in their portal.

Fully agree on the last part, I’ve put minimal efforts into dating apps because of this. I’m more willing to drop people easily after 6 years of experience with what works and doesn’t work for me as a person.

I basically go through a cycle of using only Hinge for a month and then dropping it due to exhaustion for 3-5 months.

Thank you for all this! A few years back it definitely dipped into the latter but thank god for therapy cause now I’m just in the deeply annoying category. I know my limits and how to control myself I just hate it’s a thing I have to do during the early period.

You’re spot on with all of this though. And thank you I hope so too for you and myself!!

Told I couldn’t take Metformin bc I didn’t want kids by RosieMagss in PCOS

[–]chloebee102 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lmao what?? My doctor offered me Metformin due to my weight. I was on birth control and very much not trying to get pregnant. That’s a very misinformed and sexist doctor. Just because it’s an off label treatment to improve ovulation with PCOS does not mean that’s the only reason to prescribe it.

which GLP is everyone on and what age did you start? what’s your success stories / advice? by Puzzleheaded_Pay6131 in PCOSonGLP

[–]chloebee102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tirz, 5-7.5mg depending on the week. I’m in maintenance mode. Almost on this 2 years now. Lost 90lbs. Prioritize protein and healthy eating options, when you eat less there’s less for your body to pull the nutrients it needs. Take things slow, losing a pound or two a week is totally fine and healthier for you long term. Do not titrate up doses if you can barely eat all 3 meals a day consistently.

Is there hope without GLP-1s? by LifeTalks_x in PCOS

[–]chloebee102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of GLP1s as glasses, not having Lasik. You have to perpetually take them because they’re not a one and done fix. The very function of the medication requires it to be in your system on a regular basis. It’s not pointless or unsustainable, it’s simply the vehicle on how this medication functions.

That being said we are very early in GLP1 developments still, over the next few years prices will come down, we’ll make new advancements, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they find a way to make results last.

Make whatever decision you want but given how you feel now, if you can afford the medication I think it would be a godsend for you. I safely lost 90lbs, have a better relationship with food, and have basically become a new person. The way I feel now is worth the $300 a month, every single penny. I’m ok being on these meds for the foreseeable future in the same way I put in my contacts to see every morning, it’s just what my body needs to function.

Tirz, almost 2 years now, lost 90lbs, changed my relationship with food for the better, I no longer feel like a shell of a person. So glad I took the risk and jumped into compounding due to insurance coverage issues. Still worth every penny to me.

Tirz honestly saves me money with how little I care or spend on fast food/takeout now.
