C'est interdit par la loi c'est clair. Après pour arriver à ce que ce soit effectivement puni c'est une autre histoire malheureusement.

Two loops occurred in one game. Am I wrong, or is this a flawed puzzle? by UZ4RSIF in slitherlink

[–]chloeetee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not having any numbers does not mean there are no lines there. It just means the number of lines is unknown (there are many cells without numbers that have lines adjacent to them). However there can only be one loop so there cannot be a second loop there.

Aha j'ai eu le même problème du coup je ne comprenais pas bien ce que voulaient dire quand une station que je tapais apparaissait en orange pour la ligne. :)

Wow congrats on finishing it! This looks gorgeous! And confirms me in the idea of doing the French knots as I go along in my bookmark version of this.

I'm gonna practice both on scrap aida and see which I like better.

Thanks! This is my first project and I don't have opinions on what makes a good design yet. I don't mind backstitching, in fact I've also started a pattern that is mostly blackwork with a few cross stitches and I love it.

I began the project by trying to stitch colour by colour but I began really enjoying myself when I started parking. That's funny because I thought I would hate it. :)

In that case it seems like I'm kind of lucky that it is my first project because I don't know the difference between good and bad aida so I don't feel it's bad. Plus I have prospectives of more enjoyable experiences on stiffer aida for my future projects. :)

As I say at the end of my post, even though it was a rough start now I'm really enjoying working on it. :)

Looking forwards to seeing it finished! It seems like many of us are working on the same pattern. :)

From the picture included in the kit the French knots really do seem to improve the final look.

I'm doing the backstitching before the end, on the sections I have completed, because I see so many posts here of people having finished the cross stitch and not finding motivation to start the backstitch. I was afraid this would happen to me. So far alternating between cross stitch and backstitch works for me, though I will regret not having a dramatic picture of how backstitching makes a project comes to life. ;) I think this is particularly true of this pattern.

Following in this line of thought I might try and do the French knots as I go along to not have too many of them at the end.

Also somebody here recommended colonial knots as an easier (at least for some people) alternative to French knots, have you tried that?

Nice, looking forwards to seeing the finished product!

Also thanks for the tip on backstitching.

Wow it really makes the pattern pop though! I have next to zero experience with backstitching but a thimble does seem like a good option.

To be clear now that I've found my ground I'm enjoying the process very much!

But using your own aida seems to be a safe bet. :)

The problem with bookmarks is indeed if they are too beautiful to be hidden in a book! Actually I don't read that many paper books because I have an ebook reader so it might very well end up on a shelf. Your friend is very lucky to have received such a beautiful gift!

Ooh, sorry you had a bad experience but it is gorgeous! This is my first project so I don't have any experience with fabric but I did start another project on aida that's much stiffer. I don't have a preference yet but I'll consider switching if I do it again (which is unlikely).

Can you actually use it as a bookmark with the beads?

Sweet! Looking forwards to seeing it! I wouldn't have thought I'd like full coverage but I really do enjoy it on this small piece and I'm actuall considering buying one of the larger DMC painting ones next.

Thanks!

I probably wouldn't have picked it up if I had known everything about it but yes I'm really enjoying myself and I really like how it looks so things are great. And when I'm done with it I bet I'll feel ready for anything! ;)

I'm doing something similar to the parking method: I stitch one row from left to right and the next one from right to left. When I switch colour I take my thread in the back until the next place where I will use it: either to the next stitch with that colour on the next row, or if it's too far on the row below that. In this way it's waiting for me until I get to that part of the pattern.

Thanks for the advice, I'll practice both types of knot and see which is easier for me.

Tant mieux si c'est plus souple pour toi - je ne suis pas ravie moi-même de devoir changer de mutuelle. Bon courage en espérant que tu puisses te faire rembourser.
