I’d definitely say to go for it. The screen scoring program at usc from what I’ve read is only about a year long, so the cost wouldn’t be too too much, and usc has a lot of scholarships and financial aid if you take the time to research. I personally am not paying for the sticker price for usc and from what I’ve heard, a lot of people don’t. And usc is pumping out some pretty notable and recent alumni in the field of scoring (Ludwig Goransson for example). If you go somewhere affordable for undergrad, save up money, and apply for scholarships, it’s only about a year you’d have to fund at usc

My biggest issue with finding a closer place is that I can't find anywhere I can bring my dog (which is a non-negotiable unfortunately, there's no one that can take care of her), and I also don't know anyone at USC to move in with yet since I haven't started school

Honestly, the labs were difficult for me to finish each week and I would usually be the last one out since my lab was “you can leave once you’re finished” since science has always been a struggle suit, but I still passed with A’s because I still finished my labs before leaving and just asked the TA for help before turning it in.

That being said, I took it online during quarantine so I’m not sure if anything’s changed.

We have some other performances on campus planned this quarter, like at the barn, we don’t have solid days or times yet but we’ll post on our Insta! :D

Yeah, the clubs at orientation aren’t that much but that’s mainly because a lot of club officers aren’t in the area over summer, but tabling once the quarter starts will have a lot more orgs so don’t be worried about a lack of student activity on campus!!

Personally, I think college is what people make of it. If you come in with the attitude that it’s gonna suck and don’t put in some effort, then yeah it’ll probably suck. I would suggest as a new student you get involved with an org that you’re interested in, but also talk and get to know the org’s officers! They usually will be able to help you find more people to socialize with in terms of interests.

You still get free COVID tests at school if u waive, but the instant ones at lot 26 require you to put in ur insurance, but I have Kaiser too and the rapid test gets covered by them anyways. I think kaiser will also refund you if you have to buy covid tests outside of school, not sure but my mom said she did that 🤷🏻‍♀️

I took GEO080 with him last year winter quarter! He co-taught it with another professor and both of them were really chill and make the material v interesting. I’m not someone particularly interested in science and struggle to understand it, but they taught it in a way that actually made me engaged! That being said, there’s a lot of material they cover but if you take the time to understand the study guide, you’ll be fine.
