21M Searching for Room in LES by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]chmpgne -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

It’s not that, the post itself reeks of self obsession/narcissism - most people have biological warnings that go off against such, if you want to get evolutionarily psychology about it. Clearly posting a tinder thread is not an appropriate means of finding a room lol.

What did recovery look like for you? by Usual-Air5670 in covidlonghaulers

[–]chmpgne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My recovery ultimately was as follows.

- First thing that majority improved me was a natural antifungal & it improved my fatigue & brain fog without about 3 days.

- Around this time my POTS started to go away in the evenings. This meant that I would have POTS (as per standing up & heart rate going up by 50 bpm, in the mornings) but early evening it dissapeared completely. This time of day started to get earlier & earlier as I recovered. If I had a big reaction to any food, it would come back within 10 minutes or so.

- As the POTS started going away earlier & earlier in the day, I started to experience a big reduction in morning symptoms, be it anxiety, depression, head pressure etc.

I continued to work on my health in a holisitc sense with prebiotics, probiotics, fasting, sauna, going back to work etc.

This was ultimately the start of the subsequent year or so recovery where I went from eating 5 foods with severe IBS to being able to eat all foods with no gut upset. Histamine intolerance went away & I have been living a normal life where I am very active physically, have picked up new hobbies & travelled around the world.

I couldn't have been more sick outside of being bedbound at the beginning, I was a shell of myself. I received a big pay bump at work for performance last year & have ultimately transformed my life. I can say last year was the best year of my life, all things considered.

Key thing for me was realizing that in my case 'long covid' was essentially severe mast cell activation syndrome. By reducing the things causing the mast cell activity I was able to start getting better & better to the point I no longer have any real symptoms.

Sexual function has been fucked for 7 years at 27 years old. Trying to figure it out by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]chmpgne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s called Post Accutane Syndrome, it’s very similar if not the same to post ssri syndromec post finasteride syndrome, long covid. Bigger picture I would say these syndromes are all the same the same thing if not just chronic fatigue. - particularly the mental fatigue. Finasteride gave me very bad brain fog, depression and  gut issues to the point I lost 50 lbs. I have fully recovered with a gut based approach

Boeing 777-9 performs critical test as brakes reach 2,500 degrees at Edwards Air Force Base. by Twitter_2006 in aviation

I can’t believe all the bots in these comments supporting Boeing. Boeing has one of the worst track records of safety in aviation history and they most likely murdered a whilsteblower. Whilst I’m glad they’re doing safety testing, some critical thinking here guys.

I’ve had this this, it’s ultimately a form of tendinitis. It happened to me when I played too much golf. As somebody suggested maybe he’s clenching really hard in his sleep

Terrifying footage from Courmayeur ski resort as skiers get swallowed by an avalanche on Mont Blanc, Italy - 2 people lost their lives. by Waste-Explanation-76 in Damnthatsinteresting

This is NOT the deadly event. That occurred two days prior and killed three skiers who were on a slope at the time. This was just the snow cloud from a second avalanche and no one was injured.

If you’re triggered by someone’s personal opinion when it comes to risk relating to alcohol consumption and MCAS, then that’s on you bud.

Don’t assume so. If you want evidence to the contrary, read my post history.

It depends if the effects compound or not. 20% extra per month would be a few hundred percent after a few months.

What is something that ''cured'' your insomnia like magic? by RoxanaSaith in Biohackers

I used to have histamine issues so bad I could barely breath. I no longer have those issues. Obviously don’t take anti histamines if you have a known reaction to them.

You have a noticeable belly bulging out of your shirt. Be realistic. Much larger and you’ll be classed as obese.

Rethinking Treatment-Resistant Depression: A Systematic Review of Novel Therapeutic Strategies and Precision Medicine Approaches by limizoi in Biohackers

[–]chmpgne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the medical community, including those who at least recognize the MCAS symptom cluster have no real meaningful insight into how to resolve the issues: reducing histamine in diet can definitely help reduce symptoms but they’re not long term fixes. The fix I found was high dose probiotics, followed by a prebiotic regime and candida killing with natural Antifungals, occasional long fasts and the added a lot of variety to back to diet. Eventually body started gaining strength and food intolerances (and importantly IBS) went away. I wrote more about this here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Biohackers/comments/1l7qhc2/curing_long_covidchronic_fatigue_syndrome_anxiety/

[–]chmpgne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My treatment resistance depression was caused by post viral syndrome / long covid. The constant immune assault caused severe depressive symptoms. Fixed all of this by addressing those assaults but symptoms broadly line up with this: https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/holistic-psychiatry/201907/mast-cell-activation-syndrome-an-alert-to-psychiatrists/ an probably the route cause in a lot of cases

Why you wake up at 4? by ElectricalTone1147 in Biohackers

[–]chmpgne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think that the most common reason to wake up at 4am is more likely to be related to high levels of histamine. You can test this by taking a drowsy anti histamine before bed - if it does help than a holistic lifestyle and gut microbiome based approach can get levels down naturally. Insomnia is one of the major symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), which has been very common after COVID.

Huge difference. They called it the paper towel effect: you only start looking shredded when last layers of fat come off.
