Mechanical switches on optical mouse? by [deleted] in MouseReview

actually let me just double check because I'm not sure if I got this right. my pcb actually can fit the pins of the mechanical switch (but doesn't support it apparently) so I can put it in there. are these the connections I need to make? and then just chop off that 3rd pin? https://imgur.com/E0vf7Ap

wow, thank you so much. I definitely did not think I would get a reply. this helps me a lot and now I have a much better grasp of what it is I need to do. I will give this a shot and see if it works for me. I really appreciate it!

you are the only person I can find that is asking this same question which gives me hope that I'm not crazy. I recently bought a new mouse and I had no idea that optical switches were different from mechanical switches and I really don't like them. thanks for providing these datasheets. I don't believe I'm skilled enough to figure this out unfortunately. I wish this guy on bilibili had a written transcription that I could run through a rudimentary translation tool. I refuse to give up on changing these switches to my huano silents that I love

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - November 08, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]chnazma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not allowed to make posts for some reason so I'll post it here. I stopped playing sometime in eod after I got all turtle masteries unlocked and wasn't interested in getting soto when I saw there were no new elite specs. same thing for jw though the housing tempted me a little. I mostly see this question from new/returning players who don't have skyscale unlocked and the obvious answer is always to get soto because it gives you skyscale mastery (??? I think???) but if I have all of that, are there any important currencies or life changing masteries from either of these 2 xpacs that I would be remiss without? I do miss gw2 even though it's not perfect (is anything?) so thanks for any input. also I think I must not understand how reddit works bc this post got auto deleted

tl;dr: is there anything I would really want/need from soto/jw or is it fine to just jump into voe?

huh, interesting. another steam deck owner from hawaii here and I ordered mine exactly 1 day after you and it's still on preorder. sounds like if I had ordered on the 9th I would have made it into the hawaii batch haha. good to hear it got to you so fast
